Caden finished eating before her and got another glass of Jack Daniels, it being his favorite rum. Speaking of favorite his birthday was only in a week....

Rose finished and smiled at him, just watching him

Caden finished only a few minutes after Rose did, setting his utensils in his plate. "Do you want to go now or stay for a little?"

"We can go or stay. I got nothing to do either here or there so..."

Caden nodded, paying the bill which was around two hundred dollars, light work-or atleast, it used to be. He took a sip of his rum, letting the liquor do the work as it eased his mind, soothed the scratching at the back of his mind, if you will. The man's eyes trailed over to his wife, looking at her face in awe of her beauty. Caden flicked his gaze back over to out at the city, a few faint booming speakers here and there, a few shouts only rarely. He remembered when he used to always just shout, mainly in high school, back when he was captain of the football team--achieving part of his dream before it faded. The man then went through a long line of trying to find what made him happy, him labeling them as 'Dark Ages V2' since it made sense. Caden tried singing, being in the NFL, and stocks....but then he invested wrong, and he started not earning but instead wasting money. The precious money he used to bury himself in, the money he worked his arse off for. All wasted. All gone, just by one simple small move. If only he hadn't invested in that stinking company, if only he never was in the gangs, if only h- Caden paused, rubbing his temple once before sliding the thoughts away. This was the one night he had alone with Rose and her in perfect condition, he had to make the most of it. "Good news," He started, it being the only news he had. "I've been testing old projects and uh, might have just figured out what's going on with you and also maybe might've found a cure for it."

"Wait, really?" She asked, astonished. She was hoping he would but she was scared too. What if something went wrong? What if instead of fixing the problem, he accidentally....kills her?

Caden immediatly shied away, as he didn't know if it would work. He said 'maybe' already, right? "I-I mean, heck I don't know if it's even going to work. It might, just maybe though. I really hope it does, I really do hope." The man stammered, afraid of getting her hopes up.
