Kai nodded and drove them home. He opened her door silently when they got home, leading her inside

Lorelei walked with him inside and up to their room, laying down with him and cuddling in, just being there for him.

"I'm sorry I'm like this, baby" He said softly, holding her close

"You have nothing to be sorry for, love,"

"Darling, no you don't. Youre a wonderful man,"

"How will I ever get it through your head that I will never be enough for you and that youshouldnt love damaged goods like me?"

"Baby, don't say that," she whispered, his words breaking her heart. "Youre not damaged goods,"

"I am and you should love someone better. I treat you like shit and I'll never be enough." He said, voice shaking as he hid his face in her hair
