Sage stayed outside well past dark, and only came back in because the babies were crying and needed to go to bed. He managed to put them all down for the night, but was completely exhausted by then, and honestly just passed out on the floor next to there beds.

Odessa comforted Celeste as she sobbed and then until she fell asleep.

Sage didn't sleep super long, since he was on the floor and the nightmares woke him after a few hours. He sat up stiffly with a groan, sort of just leaning against the wall, heart hammering as he tried to calm himself down.

Celeste didn't sleep well either, waking up every few hours throughout the night where she would cry again.

Sage just wound up sitting in the corner, knees pulled up to his chest and arms wrapped around himself. He couldn't help the nerves running through his body, not could he help but flinch at every shadow that moved outside the window. What was wrong with him??

Celeste woke up once again, crying.

Sage heard her this time, and just tried to cover his ears. He hated the sound...hated to know she was hurting. He wanted to be there, to support her. Evidently, she'd moved on. She didn't need him or want him there. So he tried to respext that.

Odessa woke, comforting her for a bit before getting up, going over to Sage and shoving him. "What the actual fuck are you doing?!" she whisper-yelled at him. "Get in there and comfort your wife!"

Sage nearly jumped out of his skin when Odessa appeared beside him, sort of staring at her in shock. "I tried," he hissed back. "She shoved me out the door and told me to get lost," he added, honestly rather snappish. He was tired, his nerves were frayed, and his mind was definitely not in the beat place ever.
