Sage relaxed when she calmed down more, letting out a soft breath. "Ok," he asked gently.

Celeste shook her head. Of course she wasn't okay, but she wasn't crying.

Sage sighed softly. "Want to talk about it then," he murmured. "If it's something I did I need to know. Change things so it's not like this forever," he added

"I... i feel like we're growing apart..." she whispered. "We rushed everything... we got married and had kids before we were even together a year... we didn't celebrate our one year anniversary... i don't even know if you remembered or not..." she sniffled. "And I love the kids, but it's so much... it's too much... i just wanna break from the kids, a break from being chased and vampires coming after us... we've never gone out on a date... it's never been just us... we've always been with Liz since we met... i just want it to be us..."

Sage frowned slightly as she spoke, nodding along and letting out a sigh. "It is a lot," he murmured softly. "Once everyone's safe, why don't we try to do something nice just us," he suggested. "I'm sure the weres or Odessa and Xander would watch the kids if we wanted to go do something," he added gently. He didn't want to leave them while they were still being hunted, but it was a good idea to have some time to themselves.

Celeste just sniffled, clinging onto him. So it was perfectly fine for him to leave to go hunting with the Weres and leave her alone with all the kids when she was sleep deprived to the point where she wasnt in any condition to defend her kids, but it wasn't okay to leave the kids with 4 trained Weres, a retired vampire assassin and a human, all of whom they both trusted. Celeste just wanted to cry. She felt so unloved...

Sage could tell he wasn't really reassuring her at all, but he really was out of ideas. He pecked her head softly, desperately trying to come up with.... something. "Look, tomorrow we can go out, spend the day together. Get lunch or dinner somewhere nice," he suggested. "Then when this all blows over we'll go on a very late honeymoon. Spend a week or two on vacation somewhere," he added, the idea forming in his mind already.

Celeste sniffled. "Yeah?" She murmured. "You promise?"

Sage nodded with a hum, fingers gently trailing through her hair absentmindedly. "I promise," he murmured. "We'll make sure to spend time just the two of us more frequently, yeah," he added. "Maybe start a once a week date night or something," he suggested.

Celeste smiled softly and nodded. "I'd like that,"
