Now Lucky don't make it go down the drain. Lots of people, less knowledge than you, have started something like your dream. Getting a horse or two and living some where else is not a bad thing. BTW horses can live on hay and grass. Not dont take offence if anyone feeds their horses grain. I only had to grain a horse because of medical issues. I recondment hay nets! They are the best!

aww thanks! yeah, i dont do great with grain (lol) so i was thinking unless that horse needed grain, i would feed them on grass and hay, with haynets.

Sounds like a plain. And if a horse needs grain, corn and oats work well. Only a coffee can though if you even need in, including you can only build up. So if you need to grain a horse, start with half a can for 1 1/2 weeks then go to 1 full can for 1 1/2 weeks. You can get them up to 3-4 cans a day if need be. I know from experience lol.

lol thanks for the tips! thats very similar to when i change foods for my dog. you get the new bag, and add in some to the food each time, until its only the new food

^ corn can be good for keeping weight on but I would not reccomend it, it's so high in starch and can cause laminitis

Yes but in my case, wait was needed, underwaited thoroughbreds are mean and always using careful meserments.
