Yes, Tee. I hope it feels better soon (Tho if its broken, probably 4-6 weeks in an air boot and if its sprained most likely a brace

Tee that's not good, best thing is to ice it. It will take the swelling done and elevate the foot.

I'd say put ice on it. then wrap it in something to stabilize it....You could put heat on it but if i remember correctly heat doesn't slow swelling down but helps with pain

You may be like my husband, he didn't even know he had a hairline fracture in his foot. Been walking around with a limp for 4 months before I made him go.

I ‘sprained’ both my elbows a few months apart from each other doing the same dumb thing, doctors thought it was fine didn’t think X-ray was needed, so I didn’t bother with it until the second time it still felt sore and swollen after 2 months, got me an X-ray then got a phone call that afternoon telling me to go back to the doctor as soon as possible. They were both fractured, thankfully minor all they needed was rest but still. I’m hyper mobile with high pain tolerance, so that contributed to me getting dismissed

Tee I would %100 precent have a doctor check it out. Plus the swelling alone can cause nerve damage in the foot.

Hey all! So I've been dabbling in teaching my paint gelding, Geronimo (aka Mo) some tricks! I haven't taught him much, but recently we're been learning how to bow and hug, he's doing really well with both of those so I've been thinking... what are some other tricks for us to try?

I'll try to post pictures of our progress in here if you'd like to see it <3

Oh and if you've taught your horse any tricks, what have you taught them?

I didnt teach him, but my gelding would "pose" for a treat. He'd arch his neck and lift his knee up until he looked like a medival statue.

It was very cute.

I personally like "Touch". I am teaching a mustang to "Touch" things when I tell her and it really benefits her when something is scary to her.

I taught my mare how to highfive by putting my foot out and her putting her hoof out xD

One of mine knows "Scoot Over." When she's tied up, she often turns so one side is against the fence. If I touch her butt, the side against the fence, and say "Scoot Over" , she moves so she's facing the fence head on. Makes saddling a lot easier. I taught her that by pushing her butt and telling her to move. She eventually figured out how far I wanted her to go.

So I went out to the barn today, and worked on bow, and a little bit of hugging :) He did great! I hadn't tried either trick in at least 2 weeks, and he remembered them immediately! I can't find anywhere else to post the videos (besides youtube and I don't feel like dealing with that lmao) so I just used insagram (I post the progress and more there)

Also HMH, after we master bow I'm going to work on laying down on command, we already do a bit of wannabe liberty, and I'm not quite sure about rearing on command (I've never seen him rear in the almost 3 years I've had him) lol

I train all my ponies and horses at liberty. I could for sure help you out and give you strategies.
I always teach liberty circles/free lunging toward the start. Most horses pick it up easy. If you might want to teach Mo that Pm me and I'll tell you my strategy!
