Lorelei couldnt sleep, so she got up, going to her bookcase and reaching to the top, pulling down one of her forbidden books. She started reading, imagining it was her and Kai.

Kai waited outside her house still, imagining her sleeping and what she looked like

Lorelei bit her lip. She had to stop and put the book back, getting up and pacing around her room.

Kai heard her walking and walked to her door, knocking. "Lorelei?" He said softly, hoping she'd answer so they could talk

Lorelei answered the door. "Yeah?"

"I can't sleep. Could we talk for a bit?" He asked, not moving except for his eyes to flicker over her body. His breath caught unexpectedly in his throat and he had to fight for words. "You look beautiful...um...Tonight" He stuttered--something he never did

Lorelei nodded. "Yeah," she replied, stepping out of the doorway so he could enter. "Uh- thanks," she blushed.

Kai nodded. He walked over to her bed and sat down on it. "What were you reading?" He asked, seeing an old bookmark on her bedside table

Lorelei followed him, keeping her distance as she sat down on the other end. Her cheeks heated into a firey red shade. "Nothing," she said a little too quickly.

Kai smirked knowingly. He glanced at the bookshelf, his eyes catching a spot dust hadn't settled. He grinned and grabbed the book, the cover slightly warm from her hands. "This?" He asked, flipping through it. "Damn" He muttered after a bit. "Want me to read it out loud, Lorelei?" He taunted, smiling and flopping on her bed. "And then!" He said dramatically
