"Ack! What did you just say?" Alice scolded, annoyed but not angry at Sage's remark. She really disliked this man but enjoyed his attitude as he made it slightly more amusing to 'lightly' pick on him. But that also left the question of how.. Alice obviously didn't know a thing about him, which upset her slightly but enough.
Down below, the Doctor had finished wrapping and tending to Harlow's wounds. "Since I tended to everyone, may you please bring the prisoner down? He seemed a tad pale." Asked the Doctor with a smile, "He's not a prisoner. He's a Sage." Harlow laughed quietly, respectfully making fun of the man before nodding and slipping on his undershirt and coat and moving up the stairs. The sun blinded him momentarily once he reached the main deck and the sudden smell of the fresh air was peaceful compared to the smell of blood from down below. His blue eyes scanned the area before seeing Alice and Sage, so he sighed and made his way over, only to be stopped by a crewmember who asked where a few items went, which Harlow took his time telling and explaining why that specific stuff goes in that specific area before dismissing the man.
Eventually he made it to them, immediately seeing that Alice was upset and deep in thought and Sage bound, beads of scarlet peeking through the rope. A pang of guilt washed through Harlow as he saw the condition of Sage, but he swallowed it momentarily before drawing a dagger and moving to slice the rope that tied his hands together at the wrist before sheathing the weapon. "The Doctor wanted to help you with your wounds." He said with a soft smile, although it faded rather quickly once his eyes flicked to the other man's ears, causing him to turn away slowly and begin walking toward the staircase that led down.

Sage had felt a small glimmer of satisfaction form in his chest when the woman seemed annoyed by his comment. It wasn't as much as he might have initially liked, but I'd was something. And it had gotten her to shut up for the most part, so he wasn't too upset. Of course, now she was just staring at him, which made him slightly uncomfortable....so he placed a careful expression of cocky boredom onto his face and rested his head against the mast he was tied to.

Of course, when he heard someone coming towards him, he opened his eyes slowly, somewhat surprised to see the captain coming. He knew he'd have shown up sooner or later, but he certainly hadn't expected him to take bonds off and bring him to a doctor right away. His eyebrows shot upwards at his comments, but allowed the other man to tug him to his feet and guide him below.

He was still bound with chains, but with the ropes gone nothing was biting into his skin like that. He was bleeding a bit, he could feel it, but that was ok. Well....not ok, but he'd manage. And now he could figure out how to pick them and get out of here. But the man was gentle....and it was quite unexpected. He didn't even have a good comment to slide his way, so he just scoffed softly as he was moved.

It wasn't long before the doctor had grabbed him though, sitting him down just as gently on a barrel and moving to slide his shirt off. He didn't exactly enjoy the other captain nor his crew seeing the injuries he'd down his best to hide ....but oh well. He didn't really have a say. "But eager to get my shirt off aren't you," he sort of grumbled, though he wasn't sure who it was aimed to, the doctor or the other man watching him closely. But he had plenty of wounds that needed to be treated - a bullet in a shoulder, plenty of wounds from a sword or dagger, and many more bumps and bruises scattered around. There were plenty of old marks too....brands that marked him as a pirate and murderer and thief, old marks from whips along his back and shoulders, old sword wounds, and that sort of thing. It was pretty clear he was battle hardened, despite his young age. He knew how to handle one. And he could be dangerous if he chose to be.

Harlow was kind enough to allow Dage to get treated, and yet the man made a distasteful comment, causing Harlow's eyes to twitch out of slight annoyance. "Oh! If Harlow wasn't so nice I would've slit your throat by now!" The old Doctor scolded wrapping a cloth bandage on the man, "Excuse me? I don't think threats are a stable way to tell someone you hat or dislike them." Harlow said calmly, turning his back to Sage and the old man momentarily before turning his head. "Fine. You." He nearly jabbed his frail finger onto Sage's forehead before speaking again, "I don't like you, in fact, I despise you... momentarily." He scoffed, turning to grab some other ointment. "Great job. I have to make sure the crew is fine, once your finished with Sage I'll take him. If I'm not free, ask Alice." He said with a partial smile as he walked away, but before he ascended the stairs he turned to speak again. "Please don't start anything with my Doctor. He's to old and he bites." He joked, although only he and the Doctor laughed at their inside joke.
The blonde's laughter faded as he breached the deck and immediately got to work with giving orders and helping the somewhat newer crewmembers navigate around the large ship. "What are you going to put what's his face once the doctor is done with him?" Alice asked with a sweet tone despite her bitter words. "Sage?" Harlow asked and corrected. "Yeah, him." She answered with a eyeroll. "I'll put him in my quarters for tonight I guess since all the wounded have taken up most to all of the spare areas." He explained thoughtfully to the woman. "You can't be serious! What if he steals somethin, or takes something valuable and escapes?" Alice yelled softly, making sure no one else would overhear. Suddenly Harlow turned to Alice, squaring onto her almost immediately. "Don't raise your voice at me to scold and don't doubt me. I know what I'm doing. I've done this before." He said harshly, although, only his voice intensified as he never intended to raise it. With a sigh and a simple apology Harlow moved away and began helping his crewmembers.

Sage had snorted when the doctor threatened him, clearly not too worried by his threats. He was fairly certain it would be easy enough to break the old man, even with his hands bound roughly behind his back. It was a tempting thought too, as he wasn't exactly trying to be gentle as he was treating sage....in fact, he seemed to be doing things in a slightly more aggressive way than he normally did. Then again, sage had just made a rude joke about him and his job, and had insulted both him and his captain, so he supposed that was well given. Even so, he didn't appreciate being poked at, especially since the doctor would report back to his captain, and the report would include the fact that he had the blood of a magical creature in him. He normally kept his ears covered with his hair, but the doctor did a full examination too, and between those and the slightly pointed teeth in his mouth, the doctor had figured it out quickly.

He was glad when the old man had finished with him, and was already on his feet by the time a crew member had moved to get Alice or the captain, as he had instructed the doctor. He was admittedly hoping for the captain, but it was the woman who came back down with the unknown sailor. He scowled slightly, just as annoyed as she as she yanked him to his feet again and shoved him along. He did his best to make the walk difficult for her, though when she figured out where he was hurting she started jabbing her finger there to get him to move forward. Effective, but it wasn't helping his mood much.

By the time the got to the door she was leading him to, he was pretty well exhausted, and struggling to hide it. He'd broken a sweat from being forced across the boat, even, and didn't put up much of a fight as she shoved him into the room. He was distracted when he realized it was private chambers ...and a little confused. Mostly concerned really, as he'd been kept in places like this before, and he was certainly hoping this captain wasn't the type to force him around physically, make him do things he didn't want to just to prove his might. The power he had over sage at the moment. His gut twisted slightly when he was chained to the pole of the bed....it was really the only place to do that, but it didn't help his imagination. He decided to focus himself on looking around ...getting as many details as he could while he was there. He caught the captains name....Harlow. Hmmm....he supposed it was an eloquent name. Could be worse.

After Alice locked Sage in the room she walked proudly towards Harlow, although, her pride wasn't from accomplishing her given task, but from being a absolute pain to Sage. She surprisingly enjoyed picking on the man, especially since he was in such a weakened state. "Captain?" She began, watching the tall man turn his body from a few barrels that he was moving. "Hm?" He answered simply, wiping his forehead with the sleeve of his coat. "I've put him in your quarters." Alice huffed, seemingly annoyed at even mentioning Sage's existence. "Great job, Alice." Harlow praised smoothly, eyes wondering towards the steps that led under the main deck where the Doctor had begun to wave him over. The blonde dismissed himself from the group and headed towards the older man.
"What's wrong?" Harlow asked urgently, worried about the Doctor and stressed about everything due to him moving non-stop ever since the battle happened. "It's about your pet." The doctor said teasingly, "My cats?" Harlow asked, confused by the doctors' words. "Oh for your sake, I'm talking about Sage!" He answered aggressively, eyes narrowing as he moved deeper under the deck until he was in front of a short table, then he turned to wave at Harlow to coax him over. There upon the table were four cloth patches, each with a somewhat considerable amount of blood on each. A look of uncertainty spread across Harlow's face until the Doctor spoke. "So, these three samples are from the crew.." The older man began, moving three of the cloth patches towards Harlow who studied intensely; how the deep red liquid bled through the fabric with ease, clinging to the fabric causing some areas to appear a lighter shade of red or a darker hue from smearing. One of the other indicators was the classic iron smell that leeched off the fabric. "Now this is Sage's cloth that I used to wipe down his wounds." The older man continued slowly, now sliding the fabric to Harlow. His blood wasn't too different, in fact, nearly identical. Obviously it was red and had a thinner consistency allowing it to bleed through the cloth surprisingly quicker, and the coloration was slightly off. "I know what you mean, but aren't you taking this a tad too far? He's just a man." Harlow sighed, moving away slightly. He did spot the difference, but brushed it off as many reasons could change how the blood appeared; the age, the temperature, the type, the... Species... He winced at the thought before the old man spoke again. "Then explain that man's ears!" He scolded, clearly annoyed at his captains denial.
Harlow said nothing and nodded before disappearing up the stairs, each step groaning with his weight. What was up with everyone yelling at him? Maybe it's because everyone is tired. Or hungry. Or both. But that still didn't make the actions reasonable, which just thinking about it pissed the man off a tad more then what it should've.
He immediately brushed the feeling down with a long sigh as he opened the door to his cabin, eye's barley rendering in the darkness until he lit a oil lamp, now illuminating the area with a soft orange glow, including Sage. Harlow jumped at the figure before letting out a shaky and forced laugh before sitting in a chair on the far end on the room. For a long while he didn't speak, enjoying the quietness the area provided. "Have you ate anything recently? Do you need me to get you anything?" He asked politely, reaching for a note that was next to him. He grabbed the note, read a few words and crumpled the thing, tossing it aside.
