I know the general "Horse Coat Color Panel" thru UCDavis tests for it along with the other dilutes.

I feel Ch falls under the radar a lot unless you've already dealt with it or are knowledgeable about it. Do majority of gene testing automatically test for Ch when testing other dilutes?
New Road Stables

Right! So I was incorrect; it is how it works in real life. (At least with cremellos - how neat that no one's bred the other DD Ch variants in the real world yet.)

Ooh that's interesting! I guess because they already have such light skin, you wouldn't be able to see any mottling

Oh, that's very helpful. Thanks for sharing. Makes sense to me too now that I just looked up double cream dilutes on the International Champagne Horse Registry (ICHR). They know of only two DD champagnes, both cremellos, and both horses are visually indistinguishable from cremello.

Oooh I found this note though:
Single dilute horses will show pearl genes if there is one present; Double Dilutes will hide pearl (and also Champagne) because their coat is already maximally diluted so the other dilution factor will not have an effect. They will not show up as having silver in their name either, but I believe smokey cremes, perlinos and brown cremes with silver have white tails in the game.

Yeah, nice find! I do wonder now about all the perlinos and such I've free ranged in the past :o

This is the first double dilute with Ch I've come across so far so it threw me off about all my other possible Ch DD that I've missed. The game guide doesn't specify Ch on DD

Mayhem, that is very odd! It certainly doesn't in real life. I breed only champagnes and just looked through all my gene tested cream-champagne combos and cannot find any double creams, so I think you may be correct that that is how it works in-game.

How does "EEE" breeding work? July 1, 2017 10:13 AM

So, I recently broke down and bought a Brown Roan Anglo stallion. He's a EEP. I also bought a mare, who is SEE. I bred the two together and got a SPP filly.... What?! How does this work? I was secretly hoping it would be a EEE filly, but apparently not.

Getting a EEE horse doesn't happen suddenly. The best way to breed a EEE if the stud and the mare you have have good ratings. Not all EEP stallions produce foals with high ratings. When you breed a mare, she should have a rating of PPP+. Less then that and the foal she produces won't have a great rating usually. Even mares with high ratings don't produce amazing foals. To produce a EEE horse takes time. I have been on this site since 78 and I have only produced two PEE mares.

The best way to produce a EEE mare is to build up your broodmares. Buy mares that have already bred in past. Make sure these mares have produced mostly PPP+ foals. When choosing your stallion make sure that this is not his first year breeding. Try to find a stud who has been bred in the past who produces PPP+ horses. This can be expensive though so I would first go into competitions first to earn money.

Thanks. I guess I got overexcited that both my horses had two "EEs" lol. I'll look into their histories.

Sometimes EEE come easy and sometimes not.

Breeding at HEE is very influenced by the random factor you will have for every match. Sometimes the factor is nice and you can be lucky and get an EEE from a PPP x PEP cross.
But most times the HEE gods play a cruel game and mess around with the "rf-curse" ... as you had for your foal ;)

Even very skilled longtime players dont get EEEs that easy as it seems - and you got a good advise from Summer Breeze already ;)

Good luck and have fun. EEEs are not verything in this game!

Lol. I just bred up FOUR more foals from various mares up for breeding... I think I got another SPP, PEP (yay!), PPS, and one I haven't rated yet *crosses fingers*

It really all depends on RF and stud/mare strength. I got an EEE it of EEPxPEP. RF brought me the EEE. Her maiden year is this year and I got a PEP from her ABLB match.

You've already got good advise, but I figured I'd put this in: We have a leaderboard for top EEE producers, if you'd like an EEE that'd be the best place to get it. But, if you're still figuring out matching and stuff, it's going to be cheaper to learn with cheaper stallions, and top EEE producers aren't.
Another piece of advise: Ratings aren't what produce good ratings, necessarily. Good matching is, so it's really important to figure that out first because you can't help the rf. I've gotten an EEE out of a SPE x EEE cross, so with the rf on your side, good matching, and quality mares, I'm sure you can do it!
