They probably suck though. I have mostly quest mares in the PPP-EEP range and some show gelds. You are probably right it's got something to do with the amount of breeders

Also relative to how large (100 people) the leaderboards are, I don't think there's a gigantic pool of people to be on them. I think there's most people I've even seen online is like 350. So it kinda makes sense

Yeah I think its the colour/gelds/random keepers that drag LB placings down as it's done on the average. If you only breed a few high quality foals a year you'd probably do better than someone breeding 10 WWWs but also 600 PPPs they keep back

I don't think you can assign riders to schoolmasters since riders go up to level 9 then retire

White hills is correct. Once a horse reaches level 10 they no longer can have a rider assigned to them, they no longer can compete.

From the Game Guide, "Once a horse reaches International Level in a discipline, they can continue to show and train for a while. After they reach a certain point, they will be automatically retired by the game and convert to Schoolmaster status for that discipline. They will no longer be able to show and train in that discipline. However, you may use your Schoolmaster in Rider Training, to boost the number of training points a Rider gains when the Rider trains. You also may choose to change your Schoolmaster's training discipline to train/show in a different discipline."
