That's the thing, he only has a tracked week 4 at the moment, so do I just match him to anything AU?

If they've never been tested they'd need 10 living foals as well

Yes. Mushroom and pearl are recessive, so it's the uncapitalised versions that mean they have it. All the other genes are capital = present.

If you breed Mumu x MuMu there's a 50% chance of a heterozygous foal (carries but doesn't show) and 50% chance of a non-carrying foal. 0% chance of a homozygous gene-expressing foal

You cant post horses for stud in chat. But id match him to mares that he matches and hope for the best

Looking for a Mentor (CLOSED) November 19, 2020 10:00 PM

Hi! I was active on HEE several years ago, around year 60, and a lot has changed since then. I was younger, and focused more on breeding pretty horses rather than useful ones.
I want to start breeding for ratings and performance (would love to add color later, but would rather have quality horses) and would love someone who is more experienced in that type of breeding.
The areas I know I need more help in understanding (others may arise later):
-Training (tracking, where they should be at what week)
-Making good breeding pairs
-What types of geldings I should have
-What horses are worth keeping
The breed I'm starting with is the Thoroughbred, so I would prefer a mentor who also breeds them, but am not opposed to someone who focuses on a different breed.
Please PM me if you think you would be a good fit!
