This one doesn't seem to bad Dulcie. It does have potato protein but it's further down so it's fairly minimal on the ingredient list.

Our first cat that we had going up had a UTI, which male cats can be prone to. The vet recommended he either have surgery to fix and eliminate the potential for future UTIs or put him on a special diet that was a 3 lb bag for $40. We went with the surgery.

As long as the fillers weren't the same as what everyone else uses. Especially for cats. Taurine is a vital part of their diet and can lead to a lot of health issues if it's not there

Though I consider myself a halfway decent shower, ill admit that I have only ever shown SD geldings in my years on HEE.

That being said, I have a few hundred broodmares that I use to stock my gelding army each year who basically spend the rest of the month sitting pretty and doing nothing. My gelding herd is not currently big enough to hit show cap, so im considering putting those ladies to work. Many of them are under BM, but those who arent are just being hay suckers.

Basically, my question is: has anyone consistently showed non cycle-suppressed mares, and how do you do it? Do you show on the same timing schedule as geldings or do you wait an extra week to allow more time to train per level, etc?

My current tried-and-true method for SD geldings is to:
Enter 8-9 placers the week after
Enter 10-12 placers 2 weeks after for E, 3 weeks after for P
Enter 1-7 placers 5 weeks after for E, 6 weeks after for P

Curious if I should just try that method or switch up my timing for the ladies. Or if its just not worth the hassle. Thanks for your help in advance!!!

**Currently most of my mares are trained in AD, but I dont really match training when breeding them, so I could surely switch them to SD.

I show all my horses - no matter if they are geldings, mares or studs.
They all earn their money whenever they are in the green.
Not CS-ed mares level up slower and stay in the money for a longer time - but they take longer to be in the green again.
But at the end of the day, they are able to earn as much as any gelding.

I don't show SD, so I dont have much advice for that but I do for mares:
I show all horses, stallions, mares, geldings, and they all make money. I don't put my mares on CS, they still make good money.
I think the whole 'only show geldings' is a myth, because all my horses make money :)

My show team is a mix of mares and geldings. Anything colourful or WC rated is kept as a breeding mare to keep my stock going. I just have everyone entered under the BM and right now some of my best show horses are mares. Not really sure about if they need another schedule then geldings since I just use my BM like I said
