There's some local farmers in stores, but they're still going to be under a chain brand. Those are usually labeled organic in some fashion

Yeah, no, sorry. I just wanted to out that those in my supermarket came from local farmers.

o_o So, I don't know why I'd be talking about the netherlands since the conversation seems to be comparing differences between the US and European countries
Vancouver
05:08:12 Ana / Van
Yeah. Well, it's just my personal opinion. No need to get fed up.

In my case, I'm talking about the US since you said 'your markets'.

Everything is a chemical, water too. I doubt they'd be washed in anything that's actually dangerous

Most of the time they from the other side of the country or out of state.

Yeah majority of the eggs come from commercial set ups not local lol
Also I guess its the same either way. The poop doesn't get in the egg because the shell but also the chemicals they was them in here don't get in the egg either.

Ah...No they don't lol

Lots of eggs in your supermarket do come from local farmers.
And I don't really have a problem with putting them in the fridge, we do that to, but I'd just rather not eat chemically washed eggs personally.

I think if it works, it works. I don't mind putting the eggs in the fridge, they don't take that much room

Neh. You were making it sound like you got them from local farmers who were selling.

Of course we wash them. And I buy them in the supermarkt. Our farmers just don't wash off the eggs cuticles with chemicals. And all chickens are vaccinated

I always had several eggs with poop on them. Typically streaked, or egg goop if a hen wasn't getting enough calcium and her egg broke.

Back when I was still a free account, I had a showing routine that brought in a great income. Ever since I went premium I've gotten less & less. I read somewhere that showing on a premium account needs a whole new approach.
I've found a couple of showing guides in the help section. I've tried using them, but so far I haven't had much success and I'm still losing a lot of money. I can't even break even.
So, I'm hoping some of you nice folks with premium accounts who make a profit from showing would take a few minutes to explain how you show.
Thanks!

As far as I know as a premium account you compete against other premium accounts so it's likely you're competing against experienced showers. So you need to make sure your horses are absolutely ready to show. I used to have a large show string of about 1000 horses (geldings and CS'd mares) doing AD and SD. My horses were usually rated PPP+ for AD and P+ for SD but I had some S-rated show horses doing good as well. Just remember that they need to train longer in order to be ready to show. I culled all horses weak in hrt because they were too likely to get eliminated in XC and SJ. AD horses I entered into shows after 5 weeks of training since they'd last levelled up. SD horses I entered after 4 weeks of training. Using the easy show page entering shows took me about an hour each day. I showed on Monday Tuesday and Wednesday as horses are more likely to level up as the week progressed.

I gave up on the premium account as I could not make any profit. I have done really well since I went back to a free a account

...doesnt everyone show against everyone? Maybe I'm wrong but I make far more profit as a premium than I ever did as a free stable

I make plenty of profit on all of my accounts and they're all premium.

Its definitely more hard to make profit. If you don't do art, or any other way of making money, being able to afford show horses/riders definitely isn't easy. If you had tons of ebs to spare, and could buy tons of geldings it'd be easier to make profit obviously, but like us smaller stables who don't have 1000+ geldings, it definitely isn't easy to make profit off showing with premium.

I'd recommend buying horses who are already earning points/money to start off, and use the money they make to enter clinics, etc to help them improve. I've found it's really important to budget, and really just mess around with different ways to see what works for you.

I went through the same thing at first, where I was losing money, or my geldings weren't even earning enough for it to be worth it, but with time I'm sure you'll become more and more competitive!
