No, your premium will not last forever.

The new update states that any accounts that have previously been upgraded (premium) or have made any monetary purchase will be, as Eve said, retained indefinitely. They will not be deleted (as before the update they were deleted after a certain period of time). So the update has nothing to do with premium upgrades themselves but rather accounts that have been upgraded or made purchases.
