Also if you add a layer on top of your horse (again as a clipping mask), blur it so you just have an amalgamation of all the background colours, set it to soft light/overlay at like 30% opacity that helps merge the lighting a bit

I second Ash, I'm also happy to send over a photo of where dark lights and highlights should be

Yesss thats the problem I'm having with mine! The horse stock was front lit but the background makes it need to be lit from behind 😞🙃

It's really pretty, River! Love how you've done the horses coat colour. As others have mentioned, making it look more like the light is coming from behind would really elevate it. So the horse is a bit darker, with golden light coming from behind their back/tail/mane. If your program allows it, you can achieve that by adding a new layer above the horse, making it a clipping mask, and overlaying some yellow on those bits (blur as needed!)

Also appaloosa isn't white. It's very very light grey or pinkish, and becomes white only when direct light hits it.
Pegasus Lane
01:23:41 Peggy (or) Peg
If you look closely, River, the tail is behind both butt cheeks. Maybe try erasing the behind one where the tail touches? I'm not really sure what the fix for that would be to be honest haha

It's terrible 😩 I think part of the problem is also the snowflake appaloosa. The horse is half white because of it LMAO

Just look at reference, River. Horses actually have tails that hair grows on, and it's placed above the hips.

Lighting is actually the biggest pain in the butt hahaha I've been seriously struggling with one of my pieces because of it 😅

So how could I change that? I think a lot of my art looks like that lol

The tail should be more "attached" to the horse River, It looks like the base is totally on the other side of the hips

Also, the light is coming from behind according to your chosen background but horse looks like it's standing under a floodlight.

Tail looks weird. Too smudged, needs more defined shadows. Neck and body is a flat blob. I'd lower the horse and/or draw some grass to blend the horse into the background better.

Q: Why do we track training for our horses?
That's a great Question to ask why we track our horses is to help us pair mares to studs weakness to there strength to have a better chance of better rated foals from the pairing.
Q: When do we normally start to track horses?
Horses level up week 4 is when we start tracking them its rare for a horse to go up week 3
Q: How do I track my horses
to track a horses training you go to the horses profile and click mange horse then edit remarks
112212-4
222222-5
this is how I track my horses but you can put week 4 if you wish to do so
Q: I tracked my horses training but how do I know if he/she match's?
Match maker is the best way to see if they match, to get to match maker go to stables, breeding center, then at the bottom you can click match maker. Tip if you are using a public brood/stud and want to pair them in the match maker you must go to the horse and click the watch button for them to show up in match maker for you also if your using outside horses you must have a straw to the stud and for straws you need to be a premium account to use straws.
Q: When do I stop tracking my horses training?
Many members track till week 10 and some to 15 its all up to you but tracking till week 10 is the best as it gives you and others a better idea for stud/broods

Looks good, 'cept you didn't really say how to match, just where to match.
