Yeah, I'm aware. Borders collies are used as cow dogs here. Horribly active lmao So I don't know if being separated is the problem? I feel like he would still be bouncing off the walls?

It's not always that simple. Could be a neurological issue too.

Myth, my first dog was a Border Collie. Never good aggressive. I believe food aggression comes from not being properly socialize.

I haven't owned a collie, but almost everyone around here does 😅
They all seem to be very attentive even from a very young age. Sounds like an odd little guy 😞

Needless to say we didn't take him home, he layed by the door and ignored us. Not typical 8 month old puppy behavior l, he wouldn't even engage with his name

I once had a sheltie. I don't know if that would qualify as a collie or not

I had an Australian Shepherd mix, we went to look at an 8 month old Border Collie puppy this weekend at the animal shelter, he was extremely reserved, and he resource guarded the treats we gave him
The kennel staff blamed it on him being a Border Collie and that most Border Collies are food aggressive

I dont think anyone would want to critique your art, its amazing! The only thing im noticing that doesn't flow with the art is the eyes. They pop a lot. but maybe you do that on purpose? Im not sure, but id try darkening them a little bit to see if they blend a little more.
