Hello fellow artist. I think I have been selling my art way below price. I need a little help. I am currently not selling a lot of customs as I thing the Tier level. My adops sell fast tho cant keep up and trying to work on a massive release. I would like to start making premaids insted of customs and need some tier help. A little bit about my art~ - digital art. Everything is done via Ipad
- Its hand drawn. I dont use photoshop, adobe, extra. Its with a drawing program and a stylus.
- Semi realistic style/hints of cartoon
- I am a major colorist.
- mini time for 1 horse no background is about 5+ hours.
Examples: Everyhthing you see was hand shaded/Highlighted/colored. The hair was done in groups. Tack was hand drawn and colored. Brand on the shoulder is for credit to me from Crystal stables adoptions. Time 5-7hrs This one has a better example of the hand drawn qualities. Dapples we placed indavidualy, Appy color spots were erased, the sooty parts were all from an airbrush skill that I was trying out. Time 3-4hr This one took around 4hrs or so, the shading is part of the line art on this one. But the actual coat was hand done. Using airbrushing and spray paint. This is a more basic type that I would consider a lower priced piece. Edited at January 13, 2025 05:47 PM by BlueBirdFalls

I think you're in a tough place because the style of your examples does fall more into the adopt category as opposed to custom tier-based art shops. There's not much of a tier system for such adopts, at least to my knowledge. Based off of pricing, I think your current adopt shop layout is a bit more compatible with the market for adoptables. If you wanted to start doing customs, you may be better off incorporating that as an option within your present shop. With the amount of time spent, I think you could fairly price your adopts 25-40k depending on complexity. Same goes for premades. Edit: Please feel free to let me know if I misunderstood your question or if you would like any clarification on anything <3 Edited at January 13, 2025 05:56 PM by Gem

If you were to go into customs rather than adopts, which your style may work pretty well with, then I'd say upper tier 3. I do think if you had an adopts shop, you would be very successful there with the ability to do customs at a slightly higher price for horse avatars, stable avatars, etc. which you could offer at a more limited basis to make a little more from that. If that makes sense.

I do have a shop! I might look into doing that as well. I mainly just wanted to see about if I did premade w/ more details and a background, stuff where it would fall under. Thank you for your input! Edited at January 13, 2025 06:19 PM by BlueBirdFalls
