As long as the fillers weren't the same as what everyone else uses. Especially for cats. Taurine is a vital part of their diet and can lead to a lot of health issues if it's not there

So... I recently started using GIMP in addition to my usually art process. What do y'all think? Is there anything that jumps out at you as something I could do better?

I love that piece, I think the Bridle is too bright/glowy.

Pretty!

I love a good backlight glow on a horse, but it may be too bright/needs to fade out a little more to make it appear more blended.

If possible, maybe a little bit different blend on that ground hoof; it looks like the hoof just poofed below the coronet band.

I agree with Raindrop, the bridle is a bit too bright. I had difficulty deciphering that it was a bridle due to the head angle, so perhaps some sort of defined lines are needed.

I personally think the horse is too bright in places for the background. Either lighten the background or darken the horse. If you are really wanting a glow behind the horse, lower the opacity. The glow, when it is that bright and that solid, looks odd since there is no obvious light source. I would also add a few more highlights onto the horse and the mane and tail. The horse looks quite dull when it has the glow behind it.
I would also edit out the bridle or lower the brightness. It took me a few seconds and a zoom in to actually realize that it was a bridle.
The edges of the horse also looks quite blurry. I would sharpen the horse up a bit. I would also sharpen the background. When I zoom in on the footing of the horse, the "front" of the background is just as blurry as the "back" of the background. Because of this reason, the splash on the footing looks too sharp and out of place compared to the rest of the background. I would sharpen the front of the background and slightly blur the splash to get them to match.
I hope this makes sense. :) If you need clarification - feel free to mail me. I can be a bit confusing at times lol!
