Because PPP are easy to breed. Unless you have very rare colors or patterns, better to geld the boys for the show string and release the fillies.

Hey, this is my first ever horse avatar I have made. Looking for some feedback/advice and wondering if I've credited it right. Thanks in advance!

Agreed. The hair looks kind of plastic.

I would make the horse bigger (got to remember scale) and try not to cut off the tail. Also, if your editing program allows, try and do some things like blurring the distant background a bit and trying to get the focus on the horse - after all, that's the focal point. I know a subtle vignette can often help with this. Down the track you might like to try brightening up the horse's eye, and other techniques like this. This was your first manip, so don't worry too much - you've done a clean job. Hope I have helped!
