I need help with pricing obviously and maybe a little feedback on what I could do to make my art better. Here's one of my most recent pieces.

https://postimg.cc/hz4fTpc1

What would you pay for this and what can I do to make this piece better?

Well...

The horse is low quality and looks very smudgy (To me.. But I'm kinda blind XD) and you mainly use stock(Don't sharpen it up or blend it), it doesn't look like you put much effort into it but it doesn't look bad! I would start pricing at 5-10K and continue to work and get better!

I really like the color scheme and mood of the piece. I think you did a great job matching the stocks together.

I would try not to smudge(?) the horse so much. It lost all its detail. The goal is too keep as much detail as possible. You do this by using a very small brush in a very low opacity smudge and avoiding areas such as the eyes and fine facial details, as well as body lines.
You want to smudge in the direction of the muscles in order to blend a bit, but still maintain the shadows and highlighting.

Now, you certainly can smudge a horse the way you did. Some people do. But in order to maintain quality, you have to go back in and paint all the highlights, shadows, and fine details back in.

Also, dont forget your ground shadows! Every object that is not flush with the ground creates a shadow. Even in dim or low lighting.

I think 5k would be a good starting price point.

The more you research, try new techniques, look up tutorials, and practice the better your art will become.

Good luck!
