So I have been trying to do art. Try and Try and try. But it's like all I ever make turns out to look like crap. IDK if maybe I am just my worst critic or what? But this is getting annoying. I have dreams of getting Photoshop, and an Wacom but until then I need art help.

Cut a horse from a background.

Add paint markings (but they come out very choppy)

Add text

Credit

Transparent Avatars

I don't know how to

Smudge

Highlight and low light

Draw manes and tails

Re-color

Make those transparent text avatars with BG showing threw the text.

Give my horse that *shine*

So as you can see I am full of problems with art.

My DA account is RubysDesigns. the one I originally started out with is Howrseaddict01. I just made a new one so that the original would be for stock images I take with my new camera.

I can give small things in exchange for someone mentoring me.

It has taken the top artists YEARS to get to where they are. Getting good is not quick.

I highly suggest watching JMs. And actually watch. Not get distracted. Not dip out after 5 minutes, and not talk the whole time.

Your art will get better and better the more you practice, but patience is a virtue.

I think there's a couple art tutorial threads on HEE forums, I know Onion has one for painting hair. Also. Fox Haven Farms has some videos on youtube (they're a tad long so get ready to sit down xD) that help with a lot of the basics. And, of course, the artists on here are hella friendly in my experience. You see something you'd like to learn, just shoot a PM (or watch a JM if they do them lol). <--- (basically everything to try to get better)

Also, just basic tutorials or tutorials on specific aspects of the program/platform thingy (whatever it's called) can help, knowing how to use all your tools effectively and knowing what they do I've found can be very helpful.
