Snow,

Ohhh fair! I prefer not to be able to touch if I’m swimming in a lake since the bottom is usually kinda gross.

I was hoping to see/hear more birds than I did but I still observed a common loon and a red-breasted nuthatch, that brings my species total in the U.S. for the year up to 91 species!

Hello Folks!

I'm Unknown. You may know me for the palette guide I wrote or for my existance in the chatbox lol

I'm here partnered with The Eden News (TEN) for a QnA on palettes! You may ask any question you like about my palettes or how I make them below, and I'll answer. Please note, the questions and answers may be featured in TEN.

I'll also be making a monthly guide for palettes! Each month I'll focus on one aspect, such as making coloured borders or fancy dropdown menus. I hope you all have fun!

Ask away :)

I still see questions in chat about which size image is best for backgrounds, that would probably be a good topic :)

I don't usualy look directly at the image size because I use code that resizes it for me (There's no alpha lock though, so if it's small it will strech). I've found 1920 x 1080 is a nice size, but anything with a 16:9 size ratio should work just fine. Keeping file size down makes everything easier on the website for faster load times, so if your background is causing slow loading times try compressing it.

Thank you for your question!

I've been struggling with changing fonts - I can't figure out whether it's my code or if the font can't be used. Is there a list of compatible fonts and what is a foolhardy base code?

I've only ever used the Times New Roman font family (I.E it changes a normal font, default is Airel).

font-family:times, sans-serif;

There's my code for my times font. Just paste it in wherever you'd like the Times font. It'll look like this:

image.png

You should be able to replace Times with anything that's "web safe", for example:

font-family:andale-mono, monospace;

Looks like this:

This is a great site for fonts, it also shows a preview on the right. To use them, paste what you see in the red section of code:

font-family:andale-mono, monospace;

Hope this helps!

Personaly I'd rather not my magic header code get out there, beacuse it's almost my signature thing on my palettes xD
To make a big header:
width: 858px;
height: 123px !important;
Set the height to whatever you'd like and boom!

That's a great question!

I usualy use the stable's set and pick a few hex codes from there, otherwise I use the stable colours. If they give me one colour, I use the teirary method from colour theory (taking three colours across from one another). The diatary method (two colours across on the colour wheel, for example blue and yellow) gives contrast to the palette. It depends on what the buyer wants!
