The least expensive part of purchasing a pup is the price of the pup. As you said if they can't afford vet bills, food etc they shouldn't have a dog

Oh geez. I always tell people animals and pets are a privilege and definitely not a right. So if you can't afford them or won't take care of them don't get them. It's simple. I breed Irish Setters and my application process is rigorous. If they complain about the cost upfront then I won't sell them a pup. If you can't afford the purchase price of a dog then you are in for a treat when you realize how much vet bills, food, grooming, and training cost.

Fawn it’s unfortunate for sure. Here we don’t barely ever get in actual pregnant dogs, we just get the puppies dumped in town >.> the rescues here are bad to let them be born to use as fundraising tools

I wish more rescues would do spay aborts rather than let the puppies be born unfortunately. Quite a few in our area let them have the puppies and then struggle to adopt them out.

I just love how people let their dogs get knocked up and try to dump puppies on us every 6 months.
We took in 24 animals this week :D including a dumped pit at the gate and 9 dumped puppies.
And people wonder why we are overflowing with no room - we also only adopt out about one dog a week or 2. ($40 fee with spays and neuters)

Oh yeah. I am always confused as to why they think I can move heaven and earth for them, a stranger, to get their dog in for nail trim ASAP when we are totally slammed with other emergencies.

I get the people part. I am a vet tech and people is the worst part of the job. I would take an aggressive dog or a ornery bull any day over a Karen

I enjoy the animal part just not the coworker and rude public part. As you can imagine we’ve been cussed out etc many times. We write tickets like cops do but for animal issues.

@CC
Great color change! My main critique is to look at lighting. Your horse currently has a very strong shadow, indicating that the light source is behind the horse. Because of this, the side of the horse the viewer can see should be much darker.
.
@Breezie
This is beautiful! Love the atmosphere and mane especially. I would just take a look at the muzzle. Most of the horse is very defined but the muzzle doesn't seem to have the same definition.

@SDK
SO cute!!!! I really like this piece. If you ever plan on selling, let me know <3
Just give the foal a very slight gold tint and perfect!

@Jumper
That hair turned out nicely! White markings-wise, I reccomend first adding a new layer. Make it a clipping layer to the horse's layer. Use a white brush to draw out the markings you want on the horse When you're satisfied with that, change the markings layer to Soft Light. Duplicate the layer and/or mess with the opacity of it until satisfied with the brightness of the markings.
.
@SDK
This piece needs a bit of lighting work. I can tell that in the orginal photo of the foal, the sun was shining on its left (the viewer's right). In this image though, the sun should be shining on its rump and back from behind. Use overlay layers to help get the highlights where they should be and use darker shades to overall get the shadows. I can tell that you lowered the contrast of the foal to try to get it to blend but doing that detracts from the definition of the foal itself. Increase the contrast and the saturation of the foal to help it blend better. Last thing, the foal should have a shadow coming towards the viewer due to the direction of the sun.
.
@Wintergreen
If you ever decide to sell/auction this piece, please let me know. I love, LOVE it!!! Beautiful mane, very smooth body prep. Only thing I'd say is give it a shadow because there is a vsible light source.
