Gem thank you for your advise! What is your method of doing shadows in ibis?

No problem! On Ibis, I like to use Airbrush (Trapezoid 60%), black, layer on multiply and just blotching out where I want the shadow to be. 100% brush opacity. I do play with the overall opacity of the layer and use Gaussian blur when needed. Make the areas closer to the horse's legs darker and the areas farthest away from the horse itself lighter :)

I'd love your thoughts on this! I know the shadow/grounding is not my best! XD I only realized after I had everything saved and ready to shut down how mediocre it looked. lol

I did a partial color change as well as added markings on this one.

i think it looks nice. BUT. so for one the horse is way to bright for the BG, so play around with that. the feet look really unrealistic, try smudging and adding shadows/highlights to the legs and hooves. i like the hair, but id give it a few more flyaway bits and some darker strands. then the spot things. i presume they are fireflys, id minimise the amount of them, and give them a soft outer glow. but overall, well done !

Pretty much my first WIP. I know that there are a lot of things that are off about it, but I'm struggling to figure out how to address them. Any tips would be much appreciated. Using GIMP.
