Tanglewood said: A rather long-awaited custom for Lunareth Vale, inspired loosely by The Last Unicorn. This one took me for a bit of a ride with making the composition work (especially with the background merge) but I'm quite chuffed with how it turned out in the end. Hoping to wrap up the current batch of commissions soon so I can turn back to the premade ideas I've had for ages (like that kelpie ahah)
Super pretty, I love the colors and the tail <3

So yall know the contest entry sneak peak I posted over a month ago? Whose due date got extended twice? Yeah, so I still ended up scrambling tonight to finish it in time lmao. The background is suuuper scrappy and will definitely get some extra love afterwards, but it ws fun trying a more painterly style (though I wish I'd experimented under a bit less time pressure) For my fellow Epic nerds out there, it's heavily inspired by the Cyclops Saga but specifically Remember Them (the ghost horse things are his fallen comrades) I realised too deep into the composition that Ody didn't use a spear, but oh welll.

Quick sneak peek of the kelpie piece - just finished the composition sketch and feeling v excited. No idea how long it will take because I'm slammed at the moment, but I'll spend every spare moment on it :) Credits for the mods: mwilliams-stock@da, siddhay@unsplash, kubliz@unsplash, christina_kozak@unsplash

Dang your art is super gorgeous <3 I am not a huge fan of pink but I would be super happy with that pink piece and that says a lot lol. Also I love all the beautiful greens in that Kelpie piece. Stunning 😍

Two recents - please don't ask me what's going on with the lighting with the toadstool pony, I have no clue either xD Redid it about three times before I gave up and just made it glowy. The seahorse was mostly my attempt to prove to myself that I CAN actually do lighting. Getting back into it, kelpie is next on the list!
