I have some big plans coming! First of which has already been completed. A brand new 65 gallon for my goldfish! That I just finished stocking with 2 goldfish 6 corydoras and some zebra danios. The 2 goldfish being one I won at a fair that i've had for nearly 5 years! The other being a gem I found at petsmart, she's a baby pure white Oranda named Mumei. She's a sweetie and a little pig lol. Just recently added rocks and driftwood. Next step is plants. After that I'm getting a new 30 gallon for my balloon mollies. I have 4 adults and 4 fry growing out in a seperate tank. I have several varitions such as Lyretail sailfins and dalmations! Currently waiting on my 2 females to give birth here soon. Last but not least once my mollies are moved I will have an extra 20 gal. Planning on getting it ready for my very first axolotl! Those are just some of the wonderful new projects I have planned for the fish room. (:

Had a blue with a bit of yellow betta fish named Leo but he passed away quite a few months ago :(

I have a 1-year-old red male Veiltail betta fish named Clove. He lives in a spacious, clean tank but suffers from tail/fin rot. I've been trying everything to stop it, but nothing is working yet. I hope to find a solution soon :(

How have I missed this?

I've had many tanks throughout my life. I had a 65 gal with goldfish for about 5 years. Then I stocked it with a couple parrotfish who lived about 4 years. I've also had various 10-30 gal tanks with mollys and guppies.

I have 3 tanks currently. I have a tall 10 gal with a lovely white 1 year old-ish crowntail betta. I also have a 20 gal with 4 african cichlids and 2 albino cory catfish.

But my largest tank is my 110 gal saltwater tank. I've had many different types of saltwater fish over the years but I currently have 1 foxface rabbitfish, 2 clownfish (a female maroon/ocelaris cross and a male black snowflake), a niger triggerfish, 1 cheveron tang, 1 purple tang and I lost my 4 year old valentini pufferfish last month (RIP Valentine). They get along well and have never shown any form of aggression. We also have an anemonie that has split over 100 times in the past couple of years (I think we have like 10 of them currently).

I have two angelfish (they are paired and have their own tank together, they were paired by accident) named sunny and dexter. I have a bunch of guppies, I decided to start a guppy breeding project and hopefully sell some, they have a planted tank with some rocks, a cave and some driftwood. Working on upgrading the angelfish tank too.

I have a 5 gal freshwater thats empty because im taking a break from fish, my dad has a 150 gal freshwater with a red devil. Im getting a snake soon though!

It is only fair that I mention I've been doing research for years and after many..Too many headaches and long nights I am confident enough to say that my advise comes from personal experience, I used to own several betta fish but they all unfortunately passed away, The only aquatic pet I currently have is my female bristlenose pleco, But that's not why I'm here.

Warning before we proceed, In this post I will be teaching you how to get your fish (Fresh and Saltwater) to eat medicated food.

First you will need a small sterile container, Add one table spoon or pinch of your fishes food (Floating pellets work the best, Flakes tend to make a disgusting mess) Now add One LEVELED scoop of Seachem Metroplex and Five LEVELED scoops of Seachem Focus, Carefully stir or gently shake contents until the medication is on the bottom, Last step, (This will depend on the size of your aquarium and how many fish you have) Add one capful of Seachem Garlic Guard (Add two capfuls if your aquarium is 40 gallons and up) Finally feed your medicated food to your fish, Continue this process until you start noticing a change.

Adding this in because I am running on 7 hours of sleep and 1 cup of coffee, Let the medicated food sit for 20 minutes BEFORE serving it your fish.

This is for internal parasites and will do nothing for external ones, I'll cover that in another post, Tomorrow or in the next few days, Also I suggest continuing the medicated food for two weeks, If the internal parasites haven't cleared up keep feeding for a whole month.

This process also works on quarantined fish as well, I will go on record to say, If your fish has been sickly before, he or she might not respond to treatment of any kind.
