No, this is strictly against the rules. If the end date has arrived and no bids have been made, you can close the auction. But if there are bids, it isn't allowed.

So hypothetically you bid on a piece, something happens (RO for example), and you no longer have the ebs (I know you should save the ebs but say you forgot or something) and you are still currently the highest bidder. Since you have to honor your bid is it against the rules to change you post and remove the bid? This is something I've been curious about since I've seen the price tags on some wonderful art!

You have to honor it. Please don't bid if you think you won't have the ebs to honor the bid.

You have to honor it. Please don't bid if you think you won't have the ebs to honor the bid.
