Varnish seems to break the rule of appaloosa patterns being exclusive to Lplp or LpLp with he corresponding patterns. These two being the only varnish patterns I could find and appearing on both Lplp and LpLp horses.

Rabicano The only pattern that can't be distinguished by hetero and homozygous Expression is the speckling in front of the stifle, hard to see because of the "glare" as well as the white on the tail.
