So I tried to talk to my real life buddies about this... And got a whole bunch of "I can't imagine you that way, that's weird" comments which, of course, didn't help. So here I am. Complaining (hopefully) at other artists? Or at least someone who can take two seconds to feel empathy rather than "oh how weird"? After a few discussions with my father about reds/yellows and greens/yellows and me apparently being unable to see them, I went to the eye doctor. Now, I was expecting to leave with them saying, "someone's just messing with you." No. Nope. Straight up, I'm colourblind in an eye. And it has gone on for heaven even knows how long now, without me even realizing something was wrong. But this also means, my art is NOT how I originally thought it looked. Now that I know I can close the affected eye and see things "normally", I have a sudden hatred towards my own art. A lot of it is more... vibrant... than I originally realized. Certain things feel off or weird. And I wish it was as simple as, "just keep winking at your work", but it's not. When you see something some way for so long and it seems right, until suddenly it's not at all how you thought, it's uncomfortable to say the least. |

If it makes you feel any better, your art is incredible. It doesn't get auto bought for no reason! I can see how you would feel, it would make me feel the same. I guess it's a total shock but please don't be hard on yourself because I promise that your art is beautiful and you don't need to change anything or worry yourself sick. I promise! It's normal to feel these emotions and in a way, it's okay to let yourself feel, just don't let the emotions make you hate on yourself or your art. It's also okay if you want to change some things, but don't forget how loved your art is. Feel free to reach out through PMs if you ever need to chat or vent 💓 Ps. being colourblind in one eye makes you unique and it's what has made your art, unique! Think about how many people have supported your art and you as an artist over the years right up to now. Please don't be hard on yourself 🌷 |

That's crazy it went unnoticed for so long, but i can definitely see how that would effect your view on your art, but be assured, you art is gorgeous!! It might be a bit of an adjustment to get used to and or change things about your art that ick you now, but honestly, if you love your art the way you see it, keep it that way! Art is all self expression, and if you like what you see your way, not the way everyone else sees it, than keep doing it the way you prefer <3 Big hugs from over here, i can only imagine how shocking and difficult this whole discovery has been for you versa |

Honestly, I think the vibrancy is part of the neat thing about your art. It has this pop to it that causes certain elements to stand out. |

Thank you guys. It does help to think that the members who enjoy my art, think the vibrancy of it helps to make it unique and stand out from the rest <3 I think I got caught up in thinking it was a problem, since it wasn't intended, rather than something unique about my vision that then made my art more interesting. |

Such a belly shock for you, deep down twist in how you think you are. But it is OK honestly. Did you know that Monet was disgusted by his waterlillies work that we adore? He had correction for his eye lens (old lady talking, I forgot the term) and afterward his colour vision improved and he hated what he had done before. But we, the public, love it. Can you get get a pair of glasses with one lens tinted to help reduce this lopsided difference in vision? But hell your art is great. |

Versa, you are one of my favorite artist on here. An as one of you biggest fans, and collectors of your art. Please don't hate on yourself, or your work. You do amazing pieces, and the vibrancy is one of the things I love about your work. :) And I don't think I'm alone in feeling that way about your pieces. If people like myself and others are willing to AB your work for millions. Your doing something right lol. So I know it's a shock to you, that you had this issue. And thats okay to feel some kinda way about it. But your colorblindness is your super power. So embrace it, you got some serious skills. "hugs" <3 :) |

I want to start by saying your feelings are completely valid, and it is so upsetting to find something about yourself that is different and out of your control. Your art, among other artists here, were what inspired me to take the leap into digital art. The color palettes in particular in your art are wonderful and eye-catching, one of my favorite pieces is the Pegasus I got in auction from you. That all said, I hope you don't quit art in the long term. You add so much depth and wonder that it would be a major loss to the community for sure <3 |

Forgive typos. I am on a phone XD I adore your art love. I never see anyone with the same style. You have a certain method that works for you, even if you don't notice it. Yes, you have this disability, but it's never stopped you before. I don't mind if art takes a year to make, I'd still buy it all the same. Please do art for you, as much as I personally love it, you must also love it or it becomes a chore. One of my favorites from you was a gift. It's on my page and I loved the fact that you were so astonished that I wanted nothing changed on it. Purple isn't really a me color, but it came from you and it will be my most treasured piece. |
