Really good suggestion Min. I feel like I've had to maintain age-restricted block list for my account just to keep my sanity.

Breeding is frustrating because it is hard to, tell if your horse is good. Medallions, svens, glasses used all used distort the real outcome. Also RF is ridiculous. Not getting higher ratings is not an option either. I think horses should have to meet training and showing requirements to hit a LB. This is an eventing game supposedly which ultimately means showing. Horse with no show expireience and little training should not even qualify for leader board. Sitting back and not even playing the heart of the game and getting lucrative income from horses not ever shown is unfair.

I think we need a tier for the artists who average 350-500k+ per piece. There are a lot of us hanging out in Tier 1 with people coming in expecting to get pieces for 100k, only to be discouraged when it's way out of their budget.

For sure. I think a new tier would be the best route, as T1 currently has a pretty big gap in terms of pricing. Should I put this in the suggestions forum? :)

Art and art styles change and I do think that occasionally changing tiers needs to be accepted more. Try it, if it doesn't work, oh well, you tried and that's more than some can say. You can keep trying and shoot your shot again later!
.
But yeah. That's just my food for thought. 🤷‍♀️
Too many people in Tier 1, art prices inflated, also, if your asking for advice, make sure the people who comment are credible and know that they know their stuff! 😅

Edited to add, why have there been so many "art trolls" lately. I'm sick of all the stolen art and putting others down. Or making others feel less becuase so and so is better. So sick of it. That's my rant lol.

Oh, love, it's not that I don't think they belong there, it's that I feel there's soooo many extremely expensive pieces and a gigantic pricing gap that are skewing expectations for people purchasing from the category, and catching newcomer artists off guard when a lot is asked of them <3 A lot of them get tossed in there and then are surprised and/or don't get enough attention. Some are able to handle it and that is 100% fine, I've got no issues there, but others aren't so much- it overwhelms and discourages to see all these other pieces selling so quick and theirs just don't. And it's why I worry about people just tossing them up there without talking and getting to know what they are and aren't willing to do
.
As far as thieves... Yeah. I've definitely reported a few in the past. Unfortunately, that's all we really can do.

I believe it's already been suggested. I'm 99% sure I remember commenting on it at some point. But if it's there, it can always be resurrected :D

I scrolled through under two separate key words a little while ago, started with "tier" and then with just simply "art." I found your original post on art tiers, but nothing suggesting a fourth, new one. But I could be blind. Lol

I have to agree with this. Especially the last part.
I am so sick of seeing stables being horrible or making it all about them on someone else's auction forum, or shops etc. putting people down is not fun, nor does it make you look any better. The art scene seems VERY toxic recently.

I think another tier should definitely be suggested. As Ven says above and a few other stables before that. People will come into the new tier expecting it to be 300k-500k+ and knowing they can complete people's bay crazy ideas.

Mmm. So, I'm coming with an unpopular opinion here. HOWEVER, I'll say that I definitely agree with the comments about many Tier 1s, not actually being Tier 1s and lacking confidence in their art.
But. I think if you start telling everyone to start with lower tiers to "gain confidence" they may not ever actually "gain confidence". I mean, think, how many orders have yall gotten where you said, "mm, I've never done this before but sure! Let's try it and if you don't like it I'll auction!"
I don't know about yall personally, but that was always me! And keep in mind this was a while ago when tier 1 was... tier 1 lol.
I learn by doing. And not just the same boring ol horse avis + stable sets everyone always orders in tier 2 becuase customers tend to shy away from crazy ideas in that tier becuase, again, it's tier 2 (think, and I am no way trying to offend anyone here, but if people ask for fantasy or a new/crazy idea, they go to tier 1). I personally think some artists should push out of their comfort zone and learn new ideas/techniques! And sure, definitely not everyone! AND, their are MANY other ways of ditching the comfort zone! Art contests, looking in art requests, premades&auctions etc.
So yeah, I think generally sometimes (def not a blanket statement here) putting artists asking for advice in tier placement, especially if they have certainly been auctioning of art well, and willing to branch out* that's a key part, there is absolutely no reason in my opinion that we should stick them in Tier 2/3. And usually, you will know pretty quick if your tier 1 ready or not based on sticking your shop there. I know I moved up/down several times when I was newer becuase I would take breaks and be rusty/discover something new, etc, and need to move. Art and art styles change and I do think that occasionally changing tiers needs to be accepted more. Try it, if it doesn't work, oh well, you tried and that's more than some can say. You can keep trying and shoot your shot again later!

^^ agreed. I think this lines up nice with what everyone has said and, would be a great step up place/tier for new&upcoming artists to put quality pieces out without the pressure of making an insane kind of shop.

Mm. That's not really what I was trying to get across. I was hoping to point out that artists coming into tier1 would/will know pretty quickly if their shop is not successful in that specific tier, which in that case, I think it could be normalized to move down a tier. Hopefully everyone knows their not stuck in a certain tier for forever and I think alot of artists get so caught up on oh this tier or that tier... which one? And maybe this sounds so crude, but I mean no rudeness by it, and definitely not literally, but, your either gonna sink or float. Your art shop that is, how many orders your getting for a certain price, etc, and if your "sinking" (no orders, the shop doesn't really get filled quickly, etc.) you clearly need to move down a tier. Same kind of thought process for floating. Move up/raise prices if your getting swamped.
.
HOWEVER, if we had a step up tier in between, I think that would/should solve the problem I just talked about above.
And yeah, the price gap is insane at this point!
