I've been getting the following when I explore:

"This weather is tough sledding. It's snowing so hard you can't see beyond your horse's nose. The wind is fiercely biting at you and your horse feels very fresh. They raise their tail and start prancing. You struggle to control them and they bolt back to the barn."

This happened twice to this horse (and multiple times to other horses, as well), and the horse is still unrated.
