Have you read "The Portrait of Dorian Gray"? and "Water For Elephants".
I'm a horrid Bibliophile. I'm even still in love with "James and the Giant Peach".

That's a good question. Normally you can scroll to the bottom of a leaderboard to get an idea of criteria to be on it, but it looks like the Junior Stables LB doesn't have that. I would giess maybe one year, but I really have no idea. Maybe try posting the question in the member help section of the forums.

I owned horses from 12-19 but never took any "official" lessons until my early 20s. :) Took lessons for several years just to have fun, stay in shape and keep learning! I'm now 30, own my own boy and have been applying everything I've learned as I work with him. I will continue taking lessons until I can't anymore. XD <3 You are never too old!

I think a lot of places are geared towards showing a focus on children because that is a huge part of their clientele base - but not all of it! I have a blast at the barn with all of the little kids, haha. I'm 30 years old taking group lessons with 10 and 12 Y/Os. Don't mind it one bit! We have a few girls that occasionally visit in between college semesters and my "trainer" even works with some awesome ladies over 50! I've learned things from young and old alike and I've never been embarrassed or ashamed. I've had 10 Y/Os show me how to manhandle tough big horses and tie up properly. XD I love it!

Go for it! You wont be restricted to doing childlike things, your trainer will make sure you progress without teaching you like a kid.

It's fun riding at any age, and when you're older than 8, it's a lot easier to understand WHY horses are doing things as well. It can give you helpful insight.

Best of luck! Riding lessons are always a great way to go if you love riding.
