I don't think tack matters. We bought a horse last year who had been ridden western for his entire riding life and we have only ever ridden him in English tack.

Ask if the horse has been 5 panel tested. Unfortunately QHs are prone to some nasty untreatable conditions: https://www.aqha.com/genetictesting
