I don't know much about the barrel racing lines, but I've started some hancocks and they're big sturdy suckers. I think one of my neighbours has a Tres Seis stud too! It's a totally different world! Morning Glory Farms said: Iron Haven Quarters said: Super cool! What are your favourite bloodlines?
I totally meant to reply to this and then I forgot lol but ranch wise youll never beat a hancock, and then running racing wise Im such a fan of the old lines I had a Dash for cash grandson I lost a few years ago, if youre talking current lines gotta be tres seis bred Ive loved him since before he got popular lol, the stallion we stand is a Mr Eye Opener / Mr Jess Perry bred boy

I might have to work on posting some photos sometime. I am currently trying to breed my CD Lights daughter to The Animal. This is my first year breeding my own horses and I'm super excited.
Obviously I am still very much a rookie, tracked a mare to a 30mm follicle and then the day before she ovulated I couldn't find the ovary that the dominant follicle was on. By the time I found it again, she already had a big CL and I didn't wanna chance inseminating without knowing OV timeframe (I'm breeding with frozen).
So I short cycled her and checked her again today - she has a 28mm dominant follicle. Should be ovulating Wed/Thurs! I am a little nervous and a little excited. I am breeding 5 mares myself this year, 4 with fresh and just this 1 with frozen. So, wish me luck haha. It will be interesting to see how it shakes out! Hopefully with 5 pregnancies!

I've also got a 4yr old by Rollz Royce - I am gonna flush some embryos out of her next year if anyone in the cutting industry has any thoughts on studs for her!

Our horses have gone on to cut to, I follow that world pretty closely to I have a friend that has a Working cow/Cutting boy but hes ApHC, Good luck with the 5 youre covering, we covered 7 last year 5 of our own and 2 outside mares but one of ours wound up open in october and were waiting on the last 3 to foal, my mare is old school cow bred crossed on hancock. Depending on what you like in the cutting world and what your budget is I know the 6666 stands a couple really really nice hottish sons and I loveeeeeeee Hottish the only downfall is neither of them have a great head and I like a little more refined pretty head like the old school cutters used to have, our one mare is going to an outside stud this year that is a wimpys lil step son. I really really like hashtags to, I have a friend that owns a son of him and he works really nice, but I have heard they can be hit or miss and can be a lil testy and moody Edited at June 8, 2026 10:08 PM by Morning Glory Farms
