....Yes I do know that halloween is 4 months away but I like to be prepared lol.

My trainer hosts a fun halloween show every year on halloween, and Ill be doing it, but I'm a bit lost on what to dress my horse up as. the past two years I was an indian, and since I was leasing, had to ask permission to paint their horse, which they agreed too. But this year i'm on a different horse and his owners have asked that I do not paint him. So I've got to find him a costume to match me, but the catch is that it needs to be fairly simple, and it also needs to not be flappy or scary because he has an eye issue that affects his sight and he's sometimes a bit spooky at things. I'll also need to ride in it. As for me I'm going as something with a black cloak(probably a vampire, but again I need to match him so I can possibly be something else), because I needed an excuse to buy said black cloak. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas to throw out there for me. Again I'm asking super early just in case I need to train spooks out of him.

If he's a paint, put a "wet paint" sign on him and dress as a painter with some paint on yourself that matches his color. I did that with my paint one year at fair

A hunter! Neon orange or camoflague saddle pad for him, camo shirt for you.

Or a unicorn/princess, just rig a horn to his bridle

Harry potter theme, drape a house scarf around his neck and wear robes or whateve

I've seen tons of cute ones! I've found it's easiest to just dress like characters LMAO. Last halloween we did a frozen theme and literally everything was just on Amazon, no need to get crafty/creative. My horse is liver chestnut, so we threw reindeer ears on him and called him a reindeer. Some other cute ideas my friends have done have been superhero, jockey, police/firefighter, skeletons, dragons, Jessie and Bullseye from Toy Story, the list goes on. I recommend just doing something simple and easy. It's really not worth putting tons of work/money into the costumes just to wear it a few hours lol.

Sugar... send a pic of him so I can get an idea.. full body if you can! I want to see what we have to work with.. and when you are riding, is it english or western or are you riding bareback (when in costume.)?

haha yes I did frozen once too! Pogo wore antlers and I wore purple and braided my hair like Anna did

Here's all the photos I've got of him! I can also get a better photo when i'm next at the barn. I also ride in a black saddle pad and a black english saddle. Also he's a draft horse if you can't tell.

Also note that I can't change his saddle pad because the pad is a special supporting one that helps the saddle fit his back properly.
