Sounds good, and yes with that foal thats a good idea, best for that ofcorse will be a good stallion who has compeeted himself sucessfully and then the foal could be your next comeeter :D
So yes go see her, try her out, check balance doing alot of circles going from wide to small and see if she comes out of balance but as she is a competion horse and a sucessful with the info you given i dont see a issue in it atall.
Keep us updated when seeing her and on what the vet said :D would love to hear what you did or doing :D

Definitely! I'm excited to find a stallion thats best for her. :D
Okie dokie Ill make sure to do just that, she's 4 hours away from us so we will probably try her a couple of times over a weekend or something, and have the vet do his checks then as well. Hopefully it goes smoothly!
Ill keep you updated of course, I should have something new in a couple of days.

I was under the impression that palomino was a colour and not a breed? It's not considered a recognized breed in Australia anyway.
Personally I think her head is nice. Nothing worse then a big ugly head :) |

Yes as far as I know its not technically a 'breed', but a color breed, much like appys (I think?). Depending on the country and association, pretty much any horse can be registered as a palomino as long as it has the correct color.
And agreed! She's quite dainty lol. |

If you wish to compete on her or her foal you need to check the rules regarding registration for the discipline that you wish to compete in. Some demand proof of pedigree. |

I know Buck, in France they don't want horses without pedigrees competing above 1 meter in jumping, so thats why her background is such a problem for me. They may let OC (origins known) to compete at that level which I am currently trying to find out about. Thanks for the tip! |

I know this is slightly off topic, but I was looking at a few pictures of the stallion I've had my eye on and I noticed he too may have a short neck? So I thought I'd post them here and get a more experienced opinion if you don't mind. :P

The stallion does have a bit of a short neck, but it doesn't look problematic to me. I'd have to see him in person to really judge. From the free jumping pic of him he looks like he has good balance and form over jumps. |

Heya everyone! I've got a bit of an update for you about the mare.
Unfortunately for now, its a no go. The mare herself is as lovely as I can determine without actually seeing her. Papers wise I discovered the foal I planned to breed from her would be able to go to the level of competition I wanted, so there was no problem there. I was really excited to go try her out.
However after discussion me and my family have decided its too big of a gamble financially. She's at the top of our budget, she's 4 hours away so just to see her would be a lot of money on top of that, which is not a problem but my parents don't like that she doesn't have papers so they're less inclined, and she's considerably older then we were hoping for. Then once we get her here we either have to get another horse immediately (probably older, but then that comes with problems of its own. There's quite a few miniatures around that are affordable that are younger but I'm not sure how kindly a 15.3 whos been in a group all her life would take to one maybe two minis), build some sort of box for her, then we have to think about tack.
