Harper read the new message with a raised brow, his finger lingering over the screen for a moment before he typed out a response. The audacity of this person! He half-laughed, half-groaned to himself. The game was getting old, and yet, here he was, falling for it every time. [You're really enjoying this, aren't you? Just wait—one of these days, I *will* figure you out.] He sent the message with a slightly exasperated sigh, but there was a certain curiosity gnawing at him now. Every time he thought he was close to figuring out who was behind the texts, they always managed to stay a step ahead. It was like they were always watching, always ready to throw him off track. It was... frustrating. But also kind of exciting. He leaned back in his chair, glancing at the clock. What was --*whoever this was*—doing right now? Probably out causing more chaos, laughing at the fact that Harper was trying so hard to decode the mystery. Maybe he was making it all up as he went. Harper shook his head. He couldn’t help it. He was already invested. |

River Janssen River stared at his phone as he sipped at his drink. Mmm. It always tasted good... he read over Harps response and smiled deviously. [Mmmmm, you can try, Harpie~!] He was grinning down at his phone, the smile covered by his mask. He loved teasing Harper... it was always so much fun for him! River switched to the chat thread with Jordan, glancing over at all of the messages singing over Sophie. He snorted, going back to Harps computer. [How's Sopie today? Asking for a friend.] He messaged, then leaned back against his seat, peering at his coffee cup. Hm. His coffee was very good... maybe he should get this Caramel Frappuccino thing more often. Pish posh if it's a "girly" drink. Sue him. |

Harper had gotten back to his work, just for his phone to ding again, this time with two messages. Harper grew increasingly irritated at this mysterious stalker who seemed to know his name and who he worked with, which meant that this stalker knew where he worked. [Stop with the nicknames. If you don't I'll block you] Harper rolls his eyes at the question about his coworker. He didn't believe for a second the asking for a friend thing. [If you like her you can just come and ask her. No need to be so secrative if you work here. If you like her just tell her instead of getting me involved] |

River Janssen He glanced down at his phone at the sound of another ping from his phone, direction into his ear bud. He clicked on it and snorted. [Not joking, Harps, I was asking for a little friend of mine. I'm not after your friend ;3] River messaged. He was always more confident behind his screen, not to say he wasn't confident in person. He just flaunted his everything more behind a screen. And especially to Harper. His Harper. He smiled, feeling his stomach twist in a circle. |
