He shook his head chuckling, a twig snapping in the distance. Benjamin perked up, "the hell was that" he looked into the distance to see it was just Feather walking up near their camp. Benjamin rolled his eyes as Feather walked around, "I might take a nap" he stood up yawning a little, he gave her a wink right before entering the tent

Ben laid on his back seeing that Rowan had followed him, "Well well well, looks like someone came to have some fun eh?" He gave her a smirk before using his hands to set himself up. He watched her a bit of excitement on his face.

Benjamin looked at the side of the tent, he yawned clearly exhausted, "goodnight, I love youu" he slightly grinned before drifting to sleep. Outside the crickets chirped, it was a quiet night. Feather walked outside near the tent munching on any food he could find. The gelding found treats in Rowans bag as he devoured them in seconds. Feather flung his head up as he heard rustling in the bushes. The youngster stood frozen, his ears twitching as the rustling grew louder. Something started to approach the gelding, Feather snorted like a pig as he was alerted. The thing was a large male cougar that had been stalking the two horses for hours now. Feather dug his hooves into the ground, catapulting himself into the air as the cougar lunged at him. Feather squealed as he tripped, stumbling into the fire pit that still has hot ashes. The gelding regained it's footing, the cougar shifted its weight to bring the horse down. Feather squealed as he reared up into the air, the weight of the cougar brought him back as the two slammed into the ground backwards. Feather thrashed his legs until he got his footing, jolting up and bolting. The cougar laid there lifeless not able to survive the impact of the 1600lb horse falling on top oh it.

The sunlight peaked over the mountains tops, birds awakening and singing their song. Benjamin slowly woke up, gently playing w Rowan's hair as she was still asleep. He let out a little yawn before sitting up a tad. He carefully moved Rowan over as he got up and went out of the tent. Benjamin stretched as he looked for Feather, he turned to his right as it was a jumpscare to see the giant lion dead near the wood pile. "Ah- what the fuh" Ben slowly walked over to his kicking it w his foot as it just laid there. He looked around to see the horses were gone.

Benjamin looked around seeing tracks, "Here we'll follow these." Benjamin walked back to the tent gathering his things. Before heading back to where Rowan was, "Feather will probably try to find us? I don't know, he usually doesn't wander which is a reason I let him free roam" Benjamin huffed before beginning to walk, following the hoof prints.
