Alexa woke to a small sound, she looked to where the sound was coming from, it was the window, a old tree branch was rubbing against the fine-made glass panes, Alexa sighed and rubbed her head, she layed back down and buried herself in the covers once more

Tyler was all but blacked out on the floor, thankful for the sleep he was getting. He flinched as the tree branch scraped.. but that wasn't a sound a human would make. He fell back into a deeper sleep, twitching whenever he heard a noise

Alexa sucked in a breath. Let go. In. Out. Alexa's eyes slowly parted, her eyes went straight to where her body guard was, a small smile cracked open Alexa's lips, "aw the big bodyguard is napping, how cute" she said and stiffled a giggle, Alexa was feeling much better, sleeping seemed to heal everything, maybe it would heal Tyler's bad additude.

At the sound of Alexa's voice, Tyler snapped. He woke up right away, flying off the ground so fast it looked like he had wings and whirling around, holding a dagger. When he saw it was just Alexa that talked he groaned. "Don't. Do. That." He murmured, sheathing the dagger and going back out. He could hear a 'THUNK' as he leaned up against the wall, trying to smooth out his messy hair yet again and wishing sleep wasn't a thing.

Alexa smiled, "alright alright, sorry" she said putting her hands up, she moved both of her legs to the side of the bed and hopped out, Alexa shifted on her feet, the floor was cold, "come" she said gesturing to Tyler, Alexa walked over to the fire quickly, once she made it the the fire she sat on the rug, near by a pile of furs were stacked, Alexa reached out and grabbed on, she un-folded it and wrapped it around herself

Tyler raised an eyebrow. Even after sleeping on the floor and.. not really getting any sleep until that, he still looked.. mostly neat. His hair was a but messy but his expression looked the same. He slowly walked in, fingering his dagger and wondering what crazy thing the princess was up to now. "Is there something you need?" He asked shortly, standing just inside the doorway

"no, it's cold, don't you feel it?" Alexa said gripping the fur tighter around herself

Tyler ran a hand through his hair. "No, not really." He murmured. "My jacket blocks most of the cold." He explained quietly, rolling his shoulders underneath the black leather.

"oh" Alexa said, "lucky" Alexa curled up on the rug and smiled softly, she watched the flames crackle silently

Tyler's dark eyes danced as he watched the flames, reflecting in his eyes. For once in his life his arms were uncrossed and he was relaxed... the heat of the fire warmed him up... and he was comfortable.
