Sera settled down beside him, tucking her skirt beneath her legs as she sank onto the blanket. The ocean stretched out before them in glittering waves, the sunlight kissing the water with gold, and the breeze was just warm enough to be perfect. She glanced at Finn as he unpacked the food, watching the quiet care in his movements. It made her smile—how thoughtful he always was, even in the smallest things. Sera took the sandwich from him with a small smile, her fingers brushing his in that familiar, comforting way. She watched him for a second before taking a bite of her own, humming softly in approval. “You always say that,” she said gently, swallowing before continuing, “but I hope you know that just you being you… that’s enough for me.” |

Sera brushed the crumbs from her fingers and looked up at him, her expression softening at the sight of his outstretched hand. The glow of the sunset cast golden light over his features, warming the sharp edges she knew he hated, but that she loved just the same. She slid her hand into his without hesitation, letting him help her up. “Lead the way,” she murmured, giving his hand a gentle squeeze. Walking beside him, her bare feet sinking slightly into the sand with each step, she stole a glance up at him. |

Sera stopped in her tracks, her breath catching in her throat as Finn lowered himself to one knee. For a moment, all she could do was stare, eyes wide, lips parted. The world around them seemed to blur—the hush of the waves, the soft wind, even the fading sun dimmed beneath the brightness of the moment. Her hands flew up to her mouth, eyes glistening with tears. “Finn…” she whispered, her voice cracking with emotion. She dropped to her knees in front of him, cupping his face in her trembling hands. “Yes,” she breathed, without a second of hesitation. “Yes, of course I’ll marry you.” Sera laughed through her tears, pure joy spilling from her chest as she kissed him deeply, not caring that they were kneeling in sand or that her heart was practically pounding out of her ribs. “Forever and always,” she whispered against his lips. |

Sera watched with tear-filled eyes as Finn slid the ring onto her finger. Her hand trembled slightly, both from emotion and the sheer gravity of the moment. The band fit perfectly, as if it had always belonged there. She looked at it for a brief second—how it sparkled in the last orange-pink light of sunset—before her gaze returned to him. Her heart ached with love. “It’s beautiful,” she whispered. She leaned in, pressing her forehead to his, their noses brushing. “I can’t believe I get to love you for the rest of my life,” she murmured softly, a smile tugging at her lips as more tears slipped down her cheeks. “You didn’t just ask me to marry you… you gave me everything I’ve ever dreamed of.” |
