Axel just nodded in agreement, letting the conversation slip away as they started to eat. The silence was comfortable... He was enjoying eating with Duncan, not just taking his leftovers after his own meal.

Duncan ate his full, and there was still some left for Axel when he'd finished. "I'm gonna go shower," he said with a yawn, standing and wandering off to the bathroom.

Axel had eaten plenty himself, but he did move to finish the plate off when Duncan mentioned being done. He nodded when he said he'd take a shower, waving him off. "I'll slip on once you're done," he agreed lightly.

Duncan nodded, disappearing into the bathroom and turned on the tap to the bath. Showers were faster, but they weren't comfortable with his wings.

Axel just moved to grab the set of pajamas that Duncan had offered him...which were really just comfortable pants and a T-shirt with a jacket he could take on and off. But he gathered the things he'd need for end and then settled down to wait for Duncan to finish his own stuff.

Duncan finished up before leaving, clean and clothed. "All yours," he smiled.

Axel nodded when Duncan slipped out, grabbing his clothes and wandering into the bathroom to turn the shower on himself. It didn't take long for him to slip into it, the warm water nice on his skin.

Duncan settled on his bed, taking his notebook with the charred edges, he began to write again.

Axel didn't take too long in the shower, since he knew it was getting late. A decent bedtime was normally good to keep regular. So he got ready decently quickly once he was out of the water, loosely braiding his hair as he exited the bathroom and moved back towards the bed.

Duncan wrote his normal poems, but words kept slipping in. 'Forbidden' 'him' 'red and white hair'... Duncans cheeks flourished with color and he closed the book, rubbing his face.
