"Hey," She greeted, eyes smiling while her face remained neutral. "How'd you sleep?" Emery asked, setting her phone aside.

"Pretty good," he replied casually. It was kind of as if they hadn't been sleeping in the same room.

"Well that's good," She replied softly, staying quiet for a moment as she sat up, getting out of bed. Emery asked the same question she did each morning, "Do you want me to make you breakfast?" she asked him.

"Alright," Emery answered, heading to go let Rocky out as he sprinted over to her and jumped up onto her.

"Whatcha reading?" She asked, scrambling a few eggs.
