Sage felt some kind of thrill move down his spine when the girl made the move to deepen the kiss, and reciprocated the touch willingly. He hummed softly in response to her comment, subconsciously cocking his head to give her more room to his neck when he felt her lips there. "Nothing," he got out, shaking his head slightly, tightening his fingers around her slightly. "Nothing at all," he added softly, hoping she got what he was trying to say. He wasn't sure what all his emotions were saying, but one thing was clear....he did love the girl, and he was definitely glad that this little conversation had happened. Because suddenly, he didn't know what he'd do without her here. Without her touch. It was rediculous, really, but...it was true.

T hesitated for a moment against his neck to listen to his answer, gently dragging her lips down his neck after he tightened his fingers on her waist, taking it as true confirmation. She gently slid her free hand down to trace his collarbone, letting out a soft sigh as she reached the lower part of his neck. She halted her kisses and closed her eyes, setting her head under his chin in content silence.

Sage felt a smile form on his face when she continued, glad that she'd decided to trust him when he said he was ok. He really was...he was better than ok, actually. He hadn't felt this....alive...in a very, very long time. When she just rested against him, he shifted slightly so they were nestled together comfortably. He moved to rest his chin lightly on the top of her head, nestling his nose in her hair, just breathing in her scent. It was so comfortable...and he just felt safe. It was an odd feeling, almost....but he certainly didn't not appreciate it. "Thank you," he hummed after a bit of silence, not really sure what he was thanking her for. Just being there, being nice to him, doing this the way they had...all of it, he supposed.

T curled her arms tightly around him, settling in his embrace with an overall feel of safety. She closed her eyes, smiling as he nestled into her hair. It was the simple kind of action that made her feel adored in every way. The girl opened her eyes with a faintly quizzical look at his words, shaking her head slightly. "You're welcome, for whatever I've done. Thank you, for... cuddling me. Letting me cuddle with you." She said softly.

Sage sort of chuckled slightly in response to her comment, figuring she was a bit confused, but he really couldn't describe anymore, so he simply nodded. He chuckled lightly in response to her own thanks, and hummed happily. "Belive me, I'm quite happy to be cuddling myself," he mused. "It's a lot nicer when you trust the person you're with," he added lightly, though he was still quiet. He was suddenly thankful that Lizzie was still asleep....he wasn't sure this would have all happened if he was still caring for the little girl. He loved her of course, but sometimes he needed time to care for himself, he supposed.

T smiled faintly, letting out a small breath and chuckling. "Good to know that the feeling is mutual." She chuckled, nodding lightly at his next comment, keeping her head tucked gently under his. "So many things are so much better when you're not forced into them." She murmured softly, straightening up slightly so she could press him to lay down on his back. Once he took the hint, she laid down with him at his side, an arm curled over his chest and her head set on his shoulder.

Sage chuckled softly in response to her comment, rather glad that she felt the same way. He hummed in agreement at her next comment, nodding slightly. He let her push him down when she put pressure on his chest, a bit confused at first, but once she lay down beside him, he just wrapped his arms around her and curled up happily. It was certainly nice to just lay there. He let out a sort of content huff of air after a moment, letting himself close his eyes and just...rest for a bit.She'd had a nap, so he figured it was fine for him to just close his eyes for a bit. He wasn't planning on sleeping...just resting his eyes. It would be fine, right? They were comfortable, and he was tired....and it was nice to be here. To feel safe.

T gave a slight grin when he curled his arms around her, gently setting her free hand in his hair. She gently massaged the back of his head, again using her nails to softly drag along his scalp since he seemed to enjoy it. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, pressing her lips gently to his forehead. "Go to sleep." She murmured softly, keeping her body tucked firmly against his.

Sage had let out a sort of grunt when he felt her nails against his head. It just felt so nice. He opened his eyes to blink up at her in response to her suggestion. He was going to ask if she was sure, but his voice failed and he sort of just hummed tiredly, tucking his face back into her and letting his eyes close again. He warmth combined with how she was still running her nails along his head really made for a very quick time to fall asleep. He was out pretty much like a light, relaxing against her as he drifted off.

T chuckled softly at his grunt, thrilled that he was so pleased. She kept her hand in his hair, continuing to gently massage his scalp with her nails. She tilted her head down at him as he blinked at her, offering him a soft smile and planting a light kiss on his nose. "It's alright. Go to sleep, Sage." She muttered softly, smiling as he settled back down. She tucked his head gently into the side of her neck, gently rubbing his back in circles as he faded off to sleep. She gently leaned her head to the side to lay her cheek against the top of his head, taking in a deep breath and closing her eyes.
