Lilith held Ocean Baroness still, the mare now laying down. After the vet examined her, he gave a solemn sigh. "She was pushed too far. She had too much ointment on her legs, which burned her, and her femur is broken." He stated.

"Which means?" Lilith asked. "Is-is she in pain?"

"Excruciating. There's no hope of her recovering." the vet sighed.

Lilith looked at him, she knew what this meant. She had to put Ocean Baroness down.

When it was over, the vet covered the deceased mare with a blanket. Dylan held Liliths hand tightly. After a while of just staring at the lifeless form under the blanket, Dylan closed his eyes and squeezed Liliths hand. "C'mon, its late, I should get you home," he murmured to her, gently.
