Remy smiled, gently running his hands through Sages hair.
| |

Sage just leaned into the touch happily, liking the way his nails felt along his scalp
| |
| |

(Longer for this one too? I also have no clue abt the plot anymore, im so sry) Remy smiled, continuing.
| |

(yeah we can! And I agree, we need more drama here too lol) Sage just leaned in happily, closing his eyes as he rested there with his boyfriend
| |
| |

Remy smiled, holding onto him tight. He thought about that word... boyfriend. It wasn't a word they usually used under the sea. It wasn't familiar to him, but it also sounded... distant. Almost breakable...

Sage was thinking about similar things. Hed been thinking about proposing, but he knew me people didn't really do that sort of thing. Like ...they had families, but he wasn't sure what the rules or customs were.

| |

Remy stayed where he was, pressed against him, clinging onto him.
| |

Sage curled in, thinking, before he spoke up. "Remy," he hummed. "What is your custom for families? Like humans marry, other creatures have mates....what do merpeople do?" He wanted to know. He wanted to officially be with Remy.

| |

"I dunno... couples are... rare," he murmured softly.
| |

Sage hummed softly with a nod, pursing his lips as he thought. "There's no like ...ancient rite or anything like that," he asked curiously
