Celeste knocked on the door, Odessa answered with a human man behind her. "Essie?" Odessa asked, shocked. "Whats wrong?" She asked. "We need a hiding spot for a while. She came after my son," Celeste breathed. Odessa ushered the family in, worried. Odessa introduced herself to Sage and fawned over the babies. The young man was Odessas boyfriend, Xander.

Sage was admittedly a little overwhelmed, but he managed to get the new people and thank them for helping them out. He'd just shifted all the bags over one shoulder so he could shake hands, and caught Xanders surprised look at it. The guy seemed to shrug it off though, which sage appreciated.

Eventually they all got settled, Odessa and Xander in their room, the babies in their carseats, Lizzie on the couch, and Celeste and Sage on the air mattress in the living room

Once everything was under control, sage flopped onto the air mattress with a groan, finally relaxing a little bit. He was still pretty keyed up, though.

Celeste curled up on the mattress next to him. She had to be strong for everyone else this evening, but this was really scaring her. Someone came after her son...

Sage couldn't sleep...no way was that happening...so he looked over at Celeste with a sigh. "Why Att," he asked quietly, so as to not wake the babies. "Why would she go after him?"

Celeste shook her head, "I don't know," she whispered, her voice cracking. She curled into him, beginning to cry. God, she was so scared...

Sage just wrapped his arms around her, his mind rolling. Why was she going after att? He didn't understand. Unless.... "This is my fault," he noted softly, the realization hitting him. Att was the only one who could morph. That's couldn't be a coincidence.

Celeste cried into Sages chest. "Its not your fault... shes crazy, who knows why shes doing this..." she whispered as she cried.

Sage shook his head. "No...think about it," he murmured. "She went after him, and he's the only one who can morph. That can't be a coincidence," he pointed out. He felt bad enough the boy had to morph ...now it was the reason he was being hunted? And it was all sages fault.
