Duncan stayed quiet pretty much for the rest of the day and before they knew it, it was night time again. Duncan changed into his pajamas and curled up. He knew Sage would want to go out, but Duncan really didn't have the energy after not sleeping last night. So he curled up on his side and waited for Sage.

Axel didn't mind staying in very much, he had slept enough to handle the day, but he was ready to sleep by the time it was night time. So, he got ready after Duncan left the bathroom and the slipped into bed after that, relaxing with a content sigh once he was down.

Duncan watched him softly as he laid down next to him. Slowly, he inched his hand towards Axels, but didn't touch yet. It all still made him so nervous...

Axel felt Duncan shift a little closer and glanced over at his hand, a small smile twitching his lips upwards. He shifted too, just barely, so that theri hands were just barely brushing. Duncan could pull away if he wanted, or he could move to hold it ...he'd give him the option since he knew he was nervous. He closed his eyes though, exhausted. He'd leave the rest up to Duncan.

Duncan smiled softly, his heart fluttering. But he didn't panic. He took a deep breath and moved, threading their fingers together. Duncan blushed furiously, but he was calm...

Axel felt a smile form on his face when Duncan wrapped their fingers together, tightening his own fingers slightly just before he drifted off. He was blushing too, and almost wished he could stay awake longer, but this was a nice way to go to sleep too, he supposed.

Duncan blushed, smiling and drifted off, holding his hand.

Axel was still holding Duncan's hand when he woke the next morning, except now they'd shifted closer to each other. He was comfortable with it though, and half asleep, so he just closed his eyes and passed back out happily.

Duncan remained asleep, sleeping better than he had in a long time.

If he was being honest, as he went back to sleep, Axel had curled in a bit more. They weren't on top of each other or anything, but he could feel Duncans body heat and such. He rather liked it, especially on a lazy morning like this. It was still early, of course....but he didn't plan on getting up anytime soon.
