(That’s fine I did an online school lol so I was a bit rusty I used a reference from my local school i actually used to have an exchange student)

“You have good teachers and some of my friends are in the child development and psych classes,” Auni said calmly

“I think you might enjoy it!” Her mom said. “So as far as household rules and expectations go… We will give you your freedom I just ask you are honest and inform me of where you will be, if girls are over door should be cracked, help with household chores like walking Sadie or helping with dishes, and keeping your space tidy along with doing your own laundry. I also ask you are home at a reasonable hour preferably before midnight. But taking Auni will be driving unless with a friend she is usually home by 11-11:30,” her mom explained.

“That’s about it, if you need any extra help with hockey I can help you out we have a small gym in the basement or I work out on the beach sometimes with Auni,” her dad mentioned.

Auni didn’t play sports but she was relatively athletic. She enjoyed running on the beach, kicking a soccer ball around, throwing a volleyball, and doing yoga. She also did some strength and core training for riding. The beach was her happy place to do all of that.

"That's okay, Auni lessons on Tuesday evenings and if she isn't available one of us should be able to drop you off," her mom said.

It looked like it was going to be a nice and day and so Auni wanted to get out to the beach. She knew her mom would never let it go if she didn’t invite him. “Im going to go to the beach…if you want to come,”

She went into the garage to check on her bike and attempt to see if there was a spare one. “I couldn’t find a spare bi….” She was cut off by her mother.

“Oh it’s okay he can just borrow one of ours for now. I think it would be a good idea to show Theo around,” her mom said.

Auni nodded in agreement. “Here, you can take my dad’s,” she said and pulled the gray bike down and set it next to her blue one.

"That's up to you, it is still probably a bit warm it starts to get chilly in mid-September or October. I am going to change real quick I usually put a swimsuit on just in case but usually I don't get in. I just bring a blanket and read, or paint, or just take in the waves," she stated as she made sure the bikes were ready to go.

She went to go up to her room to change into some shorts and a flowy blue and white striped long sleeve with a yellow bikini underneath but you couldn't see it. She came back downstairs and put her sneakers on then she put Sadie's collar on so she could come with them. She would've been there by now but she knew it was polite to wait and to show him around as its brand new to him. She didn't not like him she just wasn't sure yet... "We can go whenever your ready I'll be outside," She said as went out with Sadie following and she played with her ball in the front yard for a bit until Theo was ready.

Auni looked up when she heard the door open and Theo came out. She gave a nod “mhm” she said as she grabbed Sadie’s leash and rolled her bike out and slipped the leash on the handle bar. She set the blanket in the basket portion and a small canvas with some watercolor in it that she left in there. She got on her bike and then waited for Theo to grab his. “It’d about a 5 minute ride unless we ride down the pier, I’m planning on just going to the beach for today but if you want to explore on your own you can,” she stated. She had noticed he brought his sketchbook and was curious what kind of artists and sketches he did.

Auni looked ahead as she kept her bike relatively straight she rode on the sidewalk at first. They stopped and crossed the first block and then they got to the 2nd . Then she rode on the street because the 2nd block was a dead end since it was the beach. She halted her bike at the end and walked it over to the bike stand, she set it inside and then pulled her blanket out and took her canvas and paint just in case. She grabbed Sadie’s leash and then I clipped her as they were primarily by theirselves and she listened. She walked onto the pier and walked to the right for a little bit and then turned and went down to the beach. This was her favorite part as it was close to some old pilings and she has been wanting to paint them for awhile. There was a slight breeze and a few people out either laying on blankets or going for a walk. She took her plaid blanket and spread it out across the sand, then she set up a small easel and put her paint and canvases next to it.

“Well this is Charlestons beach…” she said as she loved the view but on the same token there were plenty of more scenic places with water than this.

Sadie had found a stick and starting playing with it and then ran to chase a few seagulls.

“It’s a good spot for inspiration,” she mentioned as she sat down on her blanket and pulled her phone out and very quietly played music. The first song was Brazil by Declan McKenna this was one of her favorites. She softly hummed the beat and looked out at the water and how it was splashing on what used to be an old dock. She started with the sky and using effortless little strokes to form the background and setting.

“It probably isn’t much I’m sure France is much more beautiful than this but this is my home and I love the salt air and the chilly breeze here,” she stated sharing a bit of why she loved Charleston but also that she wishes she could go see more of the world. She was hoping to see if she could see any of what he drew but she didn’t really want to ask. Art was something you could share with others or do by yourself.

“What made you want to come to the US?” She asked bluntly she has been wondering and she figured she’d get to the point.
