"I don't know..." he cried. He was so happy just to cuddle and lay with her all day, but he didn't know what was happening and minute by minute he grew more and more anxious.

Cam just stared at him, watching how his talons raked into their bed. She thought he was relaxed... he'd looked relaxed, anyway. She frowned and tried to force herself to get comfortable next to him. "It's okay... Kai, it's fine, just breathe," she whispered.

Kai nodded, taking deep, shaky breaths. Eventually the shadows started to fade, his talons retracted, and his horns absorbed back into his head.

Camery glanced up at him after a little while, still just trying to calm him... somehow. It didn't work too well. She sighed and moved to peck his lips lightly as he calmed down, then just sort of stared at him. "What... was that...." she trailed off worriedly.

Kai pushed his magic, deep, deep down, suppressing it like he was taught. "I don't know..." he whispered, just as shocked and confused as she was.

Camery just stared at him for a moment. "I thought... last time that happened you were so angry..." she trailed off worriedly, her hand reaching out nervously to him.

"Yeah... but I wasn't this time... I was happy..."

Camery nodded slowly, her brows pinched softly together. "Are... you sure? You didn't have anywhere to be or anything?" She murmured.
| |

Kai nodded, "No, I was just happy... I just wanted to cuddle,"

Camery nodded softly before sighing. "Okay... okay," she breathed softly, then shook her head. "Kai, are you sure?" she added on slightly, gently wrapping her fingers around his hand.
