Sage appreciated Celeste staying there with him....he'd been nervous about it, about hurting her, as he'd always gone nuts when he morphed before. But then again, that was because he was in more of a panic and had tied himself up, which probably hadn't helped things. But at least now he knew she was safe around him when he's morphed, which meant Liz and any of their other kids would also be safe enough with him if he was in a wolf form. It was definitely reassuring. When she mentioned getting more blankets, he managed a nod, eyes following her tiredly as she moved about. Normally, he would have been a bit embarrassed that she was coddling him so much, but at the moment he really was just overwhelmingly grateful that she was willing to do all this for him. She didn't need to sleep, sure, but he was sweaty and gross, and it wasn't the most pleasant thing to see. Or hear, for that matter. He relaxed into the blankets with a soft huff of air once he started warming up, and blinked up at Celeste, offering her a tired grin. He couldn't talk....screaming all night sort of killed his voice each and every time, but he just nestled in for a bit, relaxing and warming up until he had enough energy to reach for this clothes and get dressed. It hurt, still, a lot, but they did need to get back, and he didn't want to fall asleep anywhere but their bed where he knew they were all safe and Celeste could get Liz whatever she needed it right away.

It felt like an eternity before sage was finally able to just collapse into his bed, and let his exhausted body not have to do any more work. He sort of just nodded tiredly in response to her comment, only half processing what she was saying. Once she left, he sort of drifted in and out of sleep. He was exhausted, so he'd slip off, but then something would hurt and it would wake him. He'd drift off again, and then the cycle would repeat. It was generally like that for a few days...er, nights, he supposed. When he heard Celeste come back, he didn't move from where he'd flopped over, but his eyes followed her as she moved. It was groggily, and sort of sluggish, sure, but he was awake and he was sort of curious as to what she was doing. When she came over to him, he sort of blinked up at her tiredly as he processed what she'd said, and then moved to sit up stiffly with a grunt of pain before settling against the headboard and taking the pills, sipping at the tea. He wasn't sure human painkillers would do anything, but after a bit they seemed to be helping. Once that happened, he set the almost empty cup to tea to the side and slid back down, passing out quickly after that.

Sage stayed passed out for a while, waking up close to noon with a sort of groan. He glanced around with a frown, not sure where he was for a moment before he realized he was just...at home. Resting in bed, and surprisingly comfortable. He shifted slightly, grunting when that hurt a bit more, and then reached over to pluck the noteup from where it was resting on the table, skimming it in case it was anything important. He sort of tossed it to the side once he'd gotten the message, and flopped back over. He would have gone back to sleep, but then he heard Liz start to coo from the other room after a bit, so he forced himself up and limped down to Liz's room to scoop the girl up and bring her back to where he could sit down in bed and hold her. It hurt, but whatever pain killers Celeste had given him the night before seemed to be working well enough. He certainly appreciated it. Soon enough though, he'd fallen back asleep, Liz curled up on his chest. He had an arm wrapped around her protectively, the little girl rising and falling with his chest as he breathed.

Sage hadn't moved when she first came in, though by the time she was trying to find clothes, he had started to stir. He blinked over at her when she came out, and shifted slightly so he could see her. It was slow and stiff, but the paikillers were making life a bit more bearable so it wasn't too too bad. "Have you rested at all," he sort of rasped, having mostly lost his voice still. The honey had helped a bit, but his voice was still raspy and sore. He did want to make sure she wasn't overworking herself or anything getting the house and such ready, though. He should probably get up and take a shower and such soon enough anyway, so he should wake up to begin with. He'd have to sleep that night, and he was sort of hungry, despite the aching of his body and grogginess.

Sage sort of breathed out a chuckle in response to her comment, patting her leg gently. "I'm alright," he noted, knowing he'd be just fine in a day or two. Though, as she kept talking he sort of just grinned at her tiredly. "You can go get dressed and take care of yourself," he mused lightly, leaning forward to peck her lips lightly. "I can manage to shower by myself I think," he added after a moment, jerking his head towards the closet. "Once you're dressed you can take Liz and I'll do that," he thought out loud and then wrinkled his nose. "and maybe toast or something. Something easy on my stomach I won't throw up," he added somewhat grumpily. He wished his body didn't hate him so much sometimes.
